A Voyageur's Guest House  

The lady was lovely, Nothing was too much trouble for her . The guest house was well placed for the centre of Ottawa. The breakfast was very good and of variety each day.would and will go back soon.thanks for a lovely stay in OIttawa.

The lady was really nice and she let us use their kitchen. The room and the bathrooms were very clean + towels included. It was quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very good. It was well located, 25 mins walk from the parliament. We could park there for free.

The building itself was slightly on the shabbier side, but the lady who runs the place is a really sweet person. She also makes a hearty breakfast according to your liking (toast, omelette, potatoes, coffee, etc). Location is also very convenient: right across the street from the bus station.

Rooms were clean but furnishing was old and worn. In the room I stayed, curtains didn't fully conceal the window; paint on furniture was pealing off in some places, and closet was rather dusty. There was only one overhead light in the room, and not bright enough.

The breakfasts provided by the landlady have the warmth!

It takes about 20 to 25min to arrive at the center of the city. The number of shared bathroom is a little bit small.

The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Easy location, 2 minutes walk from the Greyhound bus terminal, 5 minutes walk from Bank street for the bus 1 or 7 going dowtown to the Parliament and Rideau Canal (10' by bus). Breakfast ok.

Check-in at 3 pm, means the Guest joues is CLOSED till 3 o'clock... Obliged to put The luggages at thé lockers of the bus terminal. Basic Guest house, with cooking odors and noisy heating system. Clean but Expensive for a standart room (100 CAD tax included for a room with private bathroom)

Heater made very load noise all night. Odd smell. Looked rather clean but felt grimmy for some reason. Door to room let a lot of light through and lock could easily been push open with little force.

The lady running the place is very helpful. Breakfast was OK.

The building and facilities are old, nearly falling apart. For a good fraction of the day, there was a strong smell of greasy chicken and garlic all around the hotel, which was rather annoying. Seemed overpriced, all in all.

The hostess was wonderful, and breakfast was adequate. The bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and adequate.

The facility: It was run down, with rooms poorly lit (no desk lamp), furnishings dilapidated (dirty contact paper peeling from mirror frame), TV didn't work properly so we couldn't watch the Olympics, hallways dark and narrow, no sign of a fire escape route from room, no curtains to avoid direct view in from the neighbors window, trash and dissembled trailer and ATV in driveway. Overall poorly maintained by the owner, but the woman who worked for him was great.

Our hostess was very helpful and friendly.

The room was extremely small.

I don't like any thing.

This is the most disgusting experience I ever have. What was shown on the website when I booked vs what I found is unbelievable. I paid $201 for two nights. I only stayed one night, and could not get courage to stay second night as the room is smelly and dirty. I just left and did not get a refund for the night I did not stay. If you can make me get my refund for the day I did not stay, I would appreciate a lot.

Chambre un peux vétuste, mais bon le prix est également en conséquence, Malgré tout la salle de bain commune est Propre et le lit aussi.

L'accueil était très bien, le personnel soigneux. Propreté de la salle de bain. Grande maison.

Le manque de faicheur de la chambre, sent le renfermé, manque d'aération, vieille moquette, vieux tapis, lit avec alèse en plastique bruyant. Ça ne prendrait pas grand chose pour améliorer le tout : changer la moquette pour un planché de bois flottant et mettre une alèse de meilleure qualité. Installer un système d'aération.

L'accueil bienveillant de la réception, la disponibilité de la dame et le petit déjeûner complet..

L'absence de chaise ou de fauteuil et de table dans la chambre, un régulateur d'eau de la douche qu'il a été impossible d'ajuster Eau bouillante!

Le prix demande n'etait pas le meme que le prix annonce. En ligne, la chambre comportait 2 lits double (pour 2 personnes) et il y avait une salle de bain prive et le prix etait de 69$ Can + taxes. Lorsque on a booke la chambre le prix etait 90$ par soir taxes incluses et la salle de bain/douche etait un aire commun.

Chambre plus que petite tres diffile accces au lit fenetre plus que ridicule surface de 6 m2 pour 100$ c'est plus que honereux auberge de jeunesse d'un meilleur confort la proprietaire ne peu conserver vos bagages quelques heures apres votre depart de tres mauvaise grace elle a accepté de nous servir le petit dejeuner avant 8h pour ce tarif devrait meme pas figure sur le site
