-price is reasonable -my big room is nice
-no elevator -no hot water and complimentary drinks
Very poor workmanship with repairs. Our room still had had unfinished walls and loose tiles. Poor railings for the stairs and a lot of stairs to climb
I liked mainly the staff and location... the breakfast was small but it was enough... a good quality 3 star for sure
I changed the room twice... the first was too small and the WIFI didn't reach the other... but the staff helped me resolve the issue =)
The location is strategic as it is within walking distance to most places. Besides, the staff were also friendly and helpful.
The rooms are too small.
The A2K is a very well located hotel whose staff are friendly and helpful. I would certainly use it again when we travel to Montreal.
For this less amount of money you cant expect a 3 stars hotel. The room had everything what it should be and it was completely sufficient for sleeping and having own breakfast there. On the floor was even a common kitchen. But without pots, plates, and all other kitchen stuff it was of course not possible to cook something.
It was quite far from the city center.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is very central. Hotel is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there.
Good central location, comfy bed.
Mold in the bathroom, calling front desk never worked, poor service, only ever 1 roll of toilet paper (hard to get more because calling front desk didn't work), no fridge
Close to Bell Ctr
Run down, small room, noisy am street.
location price bed was comfortable
the smell in the room size of the room
Room was nice, everything was clean, towels, shampoo, all necessities.
location, breakfast, cleanliness, friendliness of maids
Room’s too small, lack of fridge, room with poor lighting, unprepared Indian attendants at the reception and the external appearance of the hotel.
Close proximity to BELL Centre Short walk to Metro for access to Old Monteal Tim's, Second Cup and Starbuck about 5 min walk Clean and smoke free Price was ok
Sketchy area (pic of entrance deceptive) Queen bed room sparsely furnished and small squ. ft. (No closet or drawer storage) Very small bathroom (no room for toiletries)
Smell of the towels and bed!!!!! Don't smelled clean Hairs in the Bathroom Carpet
location was great, and very nice staff.
once they finish renovating it'll be a very nice place. the air conditioner we didn't have control over. the hotel didn't have enough remotes for them. No fridge in room was disappointing. However staff did allow us to put use the restaurant fridge.
The ceiling in our room began leaking at 2:30am and would not stop. We were forced to leave our room and moved to a room which must have been used for "emergencies only". Myself and another traveller were forced to sleep in a single bed in a room with no window and with a light whose switch was found down the hall (outside of the actual room). The shower was cold and when checking out, we only received a $30 refund as "these things happen". Needless to say, it was a disappointing stay.
We stayed in room 303 - terrible!!! After received the key, the manager said right away, if we wouldn't like it, can change, but only for the second night. That was fishy... and a couple of minutes later, we understood why he said that. The room in nutshell: -Noisy, insufficient insulation of window. -No TV. Small, 10 inches screen, remote control out of order. -No Wi-Fi. -Bathroom door could not be closed. Actually you did number 2 in the room! -Size of room, there was only place for the bed. -Breakfast in the next INDIAN restaurant - MOLDY, SMELLY CROISSANT was served. This is definitely not a THREE STARS hotel. Or maybe it is, in Bombay.
Location - Right behind the hotel is the shopping street. We even walked to the Notre Dame and the Old Town. It is 2.1km away. We know it because we googled map it. It is quite a distance for us who does not walk much, but it is so easy and straight forward. From the train station (VIA Rail Canada), with our luggage, we’ve walked a straight road to the hotel. Easy to find. You’ll pass big hotels like Sheraton along the way.A bus stop which is at the next block has a bus that takes you straight to the airport. Convenient, as we don’t even have to push our luggage so far. The bus ride to the airport cost $10/person.
Stairs only. No lift. But someone will help with the luggage up and down. Just tell the front desk. The front desk staff is not very friendly. Asking them about something is like pulling gold out of their mouth. Cold breakfast only.
small rooms, everyday the same breakfest
Location Continental breakfast Friendly staff Clean room Comfortable bed
Room didn't have hair dryer, ironing board and iron as advertised on the website
Location was good ( short walk to Catherine St. or Lucien -Atelier subway stn. Hotel was clean & the air conditioner in the room worked well. Bed was also comfortable.
For the price we paid through Booking.com for 3 nights, $379.95 (before taxes), we expected a bit more for our money. There was no refridgerator in the room or ice machine anywhere so we had to go down 3 levels to go the restaurant to get ice which closed once the indian buffet was finished. The wifi worked sporadically which was frustrating. We had room 311 which had a small bathroom with a shower only. Continental breakfast available only.
Nice breakfast Quiet room Comfortable bed Good lighting Front desk manager was very friendly and helpful.
Wifi went down for part of my stay.
Staff is excellent and helpful. It's not a 5 * hotel but it's very well located (middle of downtown) everything (shops, restaurants, etc.) is at a reasonable walking distance. The room was always clean & the bed is soft. You get a good night sleep. For someone who spends most of the time exploring the city and arrives at the hotel at the end of the day is perfect.
Breakfast is very poor.
I was travelling for the first time with just friends and I came across this hotel on Booking.com. I would have to say that this was an excellent choice of hotel for staying in Montreal for one or two nights. I was impressed for a three (3) star hotel quality and I would stay there again maybe next year.
