We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our only regret was not having more time there. We will definitely stay here again every time we are in Victoria. It was a wonderful experience that we rate higher than any of the six or so higher priced commercial hotels we have stayed at regularly until now.

The staff were great and the facilities wonderful. Nice little garden, great breakfasts and a lovely "library" But, as their website says "Please be aware that we are a heritage property with space constraints that do not permit us to have an elevator. Those traveling with mobility restrictions should contact our front desk if they are concerned about stairs." and some rooms are on the 3rd floor ! Also, the style is not to everbody's taste. If you like minimilist style with spacious bare bathrooms and very few pillows this is not for you. But Abigail's fully deserves its high rating

Being at Abigail's was like being swooped up in a heavenly cloud of luxury and pampering -- like being taken away to another time when guests were treated as such. Even for an overnight stay you can quickly reach a point of relaxation that is beyond belief. If you like classic movies, old English novels and a quiet setting, you will love Abigail's!

Free coffee and breakfast. Good location. No bath tub and the sink was in the bedroom. Expensive. Traveler should upgrade to room w/tub.

Hotel staff are polite and helpful. They (all staff that I encounter) anticipated our needs before we asked for. The breakfast was so delicious that I finished every bite on my plate. The chefs really prepared the meals with their hearts. I love the bed and the bath tub which are combination of anitque and comfortable. The experience of stay was excellent. I definitely would stay in Abigail's in future. I could not make any complaints, however if there is a small fridge in the room will be perfect.

The staff are the outstanding feature of the hotel. They will go to any extent to make your stay pleasant. Asked if I could get a Sunday ny Times, someone went to a downtown bookstore to get a copy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delightful, with a specialty provided by the chef each morning, but they will cook anything to order. They are eager to provide excellent restaurant recommendations and reservations. Best hotel staff we've ever encountered. Parking is limited, but the staff are creative and will even move their own cars to make more room. In our room (1c) storage space for clothes was limited. There are no exercise facilities in the hotel, but a ywca/ymca is nearby.

“We very much appreciated the ample free parking. A very good breakfast was served in the attractive lounge area and included home-made muffins. Our ground floor room had a small garden terrace and was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was quiet and a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Victoria.” Susan, Tsur Moshe |
