Location was great and staff was generally helpful when we needed assistance. Great location near Sherborne stop on Bloor subway line.
Really too small for more than a short stay. OK for one person, but not for two people and their stuff for a week. No front desk, which can be inconvenient. And our toilet plugged 2 or 3 times. Staff were helpful and accommodating when we could reach them, but there were times when we could not.
Gary was very accommodating. All our needs were met.He made sure our stay was most comfortable. We are a family of 4 and the family room suited us perfectly. Excellent value for money.
Location is very good
Very comfortable beds. Good quiet location, but stil very centrally located.
The bathroom was not clean at, hairs and dust all over the floor. Very dated bathroom overal. The room was way too full, mainly because of the foldable bed.
Location- two blocks from subway, a few blocks from Yonge Street and near Village nightlife. In charming neighborhood. Good value for money.
Two minor issues- no washcloths and TV remote didn't work. Best for travelers who don't need hotel staff hovering over them.
nice sized rooms decent location
no cleaning no elevator hard to gain entry
The room was very clean. The soundproofing between rooms was pretty good, as we could only hear the shower in the adjacent room. There was an Eggsmart outlet on the corner which did a great breakfast. We got a temporary street parking permit from the city over the internet for a 48 hour period for just 14 dollars.
We felt that we got good value for our money, but a couple of small things could have been better. We couldn't get the TV remote to work. There did not seem to be face cloths or hand towels in the room, but we did have two large bath towels. To be fair we didn't bring these items to the owner's attention as we were out and about so much.
Location close to Bloor and Younge. Staff very helpful with early check-in and adding table. Fair price compared with other Toronto offers. But realize you get what you pay for.
The small room is really small. Air conditioning is central air (call the owner to have it switched on) and I saw no air outlet in the small room, so I doubt there is really air conditioning in all rooms. Advertised with 'table and chairs'. No table and 1 chair and the place is almost full. A table was provided, but where do you put in as there is actually no space. Wi-Fi speed started off great, but after a while it slowed down and remained slow.
near downtown and station
Location and friendly staff. I would with reversation and conditions attached recommend... As once again the location is GREAT! I would ask for a room on an upper level.
Dirty carpet and the room had an odor.
Great location, clean room, charming renovation
Weird bathroom (literally no space while on the toilet)
This guesthouse has a prime location and is a good option for budget travelers who want to stay in the middle of the city. It's also on a quiet road.
Management often not on site, the carpet in the hallway was a wreck and our room was small, dark and pokey. That's the trade off for being in the city centre - and paying well below normal city-centre prices.
Good location near to the Sherbourne subway station, quiet surrounding (at least in summer time), helpful staff.
Slightly tired appearance.
clean, friendly staff
central air did not work, was so hot I opened the fridge and slept on floor with head almost in fridge all night, lol and when in shower the water would change for hot to cold often.
Amazing value for the money . Great location...friendly staff. Rooms very clean.
As a solo female traveller, I was a little concerned with the security levels so only stayed one night instead of the scheduled four nights.
Very nice and quiet place, the rooms are good with all enough for enjoy your trip (bed, cooler, microwave oven, wifi, private bathroon).
the location is not so near to interesting places but is enough to enjoy a travel in Toronto
WIFI is excellent
They do not refresh the room at all. Waste should be there for days until they refresh the room once a week. Room very small and pictures are nothing to do with the reallity.
close to metro
The building was centrally air conditioned but very hot on our first evening.
the balcony with patio door in the queen suite Wi-Fi kitchenette with fridge, microwave toaster, table and 2 chairs very nice atmosphere in living room
was quite warm in apt-3rd floor of old house-air con not as effective a fan or two would be nice to have no facecloths pullout couch not very comfortable no option for refund-my husband got out of the hospital a day early and I still had to pay for the 2nd night even though we left to go home needs some fixup in the BR vanity poor communication as per what was available in the kitchette dishes wise etc no dish towels for drying dishes
The staff were pleasant. The room itself was spacious and spotless. Price and location were fine.
The door handle to the bathroom didn't work. Staff couldn't fix it that night. The door slammed shut on me & I was without a toilet. Called Norbert at the given number over 7 over but his phone was not on. Desperate, I found a guest in the hall who after some time opened it. Also, a facecloth would have been appreciated.
There is no reception and is phone just outside of the door to make phone call to let staff knows our arrival. There made big noise to close the front door each time,so wake us up when people close the door in the night. Very small bathroom with only tiny shower and toilet. the door knob is broken even after they fixed it and blocked toilet. There is only bath towel and no hand towel.
The location was good for public transport and city attractions
The room was sub standard with no air conditioning. The kitchen area was old and no cutlery or plates provided. No tea and coffee facilities provided. I had to ask for a kettle!! No quilt on the bed just an old rug throw on the end of the bed.Additional charge for parking at $10 a day.
Close to subway, short way downtown
Welcome not warmly, parking space terrible small
I really liked both Emy's (not sure of spelling) and Gary's hospitality and helpfulness; they both made us feel so much at home. Our room was quite clean and smelled good and we were provided with clean sheets and towels. Overall, I would be very glad to recommend your place to my friends and all travelers alike. Would like to come back to stay if ever I'll be back to Toronto.
