When I was researching for hotels nearby a business trip, one thing that caught my eye was the Big Three: 1) free parking; 2) free wifi; 3) free breakfast. All along the process of booking this hotel online, it promised the big three, but immediately upon arrival, the confirmation email of booking said there was no breakfast. I was quite disappointed. This is the location in Hamilton. Anyway, just wished it stayed true to its promise. I almost wanted to cancel but it was a last minute business trip so I stuck to it. When I actually arrived, the location was very old, there was a musky smell throughout the hotel, and it is on its way to being somewhat rundown. So yes, a bit disappointed. I also ticked the box that said preferring to stay on upper floors, but was assigned to a ground floor room. When I asked for upper floor room they were not busy and those rooms were available. Just seems to me they don't look at the preferences of the customers; if they aren't going to, then better not to ask for them online. If you are going to ask for customer preferences, then do the best to accommodate. Won't come back and will try other hotels next time.
The staff was very friendly. The location was where I needed to be.
