Staff - friendly and competent Location Free Wifi and calling Breakfast Clean
Wifi not consistent (kept disconnecting)
clean, good staff great for UofC meetings
AC barely worked, Internet stopped working in morning
- single bed rooms too small - bed corners are a hazard - small ironing board - parking lot too far especially in cold weather - no gym - room door is stuck - quite obvious house keeping not reporting it - very shallow sink and very low faucet (very impractical) - very limited food options at the restaurant
Location, staff was nice and helpful, ability to use University fitness center
Very small rooms - especially for a family with young children, beds are small and not very comfortable, felt too much like staying in a dorm room
The room was newly renovated, the temperature controls were really nice
The room was a bit expensive for what you got especially when parking was added!
A variety of choice for breakfast. Room included fridge and microwave.
Had to pay for parking separately. Parking wasn't close and there were no signs identifying how to get to hotel.
Enjoyed the modern amenities. Having a larger fridge was a plus since we had groceries still from our previous hotel.
Beds were absolutely awful. The bathrooms were extremely small; I always got the shower door on the toilet. The two bedrooms with separate keys was strange. Also housekeeping NEVER provided any garbage bags so we had to get out own. Parking was stupid cause you had to pay per day to park a far distant away.
We enjoyed the two rooms that we had. Our soon loved that the desk in his room would have worked well for studying but even better for building Lego.
I would have loved a couch to curl up on.
The room looks good except when you look up . Clean enough
1) The ceiling in room is not 100% finish ( just visible concrete ) Haven't seen this maybe special for Alma 2) The garbage box has no plastic bag which makes Hard for the house keeping Special when we put food waste . We didn't have other options 3) charging for guest parking that was my first time To pay for in hotel.
convenience for university of Calgary
cramped bunk beds. cramped bathroom.
The design is great. Clean amenities, helpful staff. Great location if you are visiting university.
The spaciousness, price and location
there was hair in the bathroom
Comfort of beds Wifi didn't work
The food was excellent.
The service was poor. Errors were made with our orders and the waitress could not answer questions concerning the specials for the day.
Staff were very helpful. If visiting the university, it is great place to stay. Also confidently located close to C Train and only 4 stops to centre of city.
Food was not great. Just reheated. Nothing seems cooked on site.
The rooms were very nice and clean.
The price for the first night was to high and the location is a little difficult for someone who hasn't been there before. Also an Asian man that worked there was watching my girlfriend the whole time when she went out to smoke late at night and did not reply when she said hello
Fast Wi-fi Good location in relation to Trams
A bit far from the airport No airport shuttle
University campus location. Availablity of eduroam WiFi.
No provision for reaching the hotel from the train station (no maps or signs with the phone number at the station, and no shuttle from the station). I had to lug my bag across campus without knowing exactly where the hotel was. The big maps on the campus show it as "International House" which is unhelpful. No indication of whether the suite included cutlery and crockery. Strange high bed with thin mattress in the two bedroom suite.
We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which was fine if you're here for one night. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was surprisingly good (since we are generally used to breakfast from Best Western, Holiday Inn and the like)!
It's too bad parking cost $10 (we're from a small city) but it was reasonable. It wasn't too far from the hotel, but we had a lot of stuff to carry.
It was nice and quiet. Beautiful grounds and pathways
The hallways where to warm
The location, the tranqulity. To use the Campus green areas to take a walk in the morning.
The beds, The decoration of the rooms
Staff was good.
Location,beds ,parking,and rooms are small .
Although there was a kitchenette, no cutlery, dishes were supplied
Staff was knowledgable
Nothing to do around holel and it was dirty and stunk.
The location was great in terms of getting the train to town and the Stampede grounds! The staff were pleasant and helpful. When we asked for things we got them right away! They did their best! The rooms were very quiet!
The 2 bedroom apt we booked had really uncomfortable beds. The kitchenette had nothing to use- they gave us mugs and a coffee maker but no spoons or stir sticks- no dish towels or dish soap-nothing- the cupboards were bare. All of which would have been fine with me had I known in advance- I would have brought my own supplies!
