This place exceeded my expectations. Everything felt very high class, even with the fireplaces in the rooms. Boston Pizza being attached was a great plus as we needed food coming back from working all day.

Fernie has made a successful transition from a mining town to a destination outdoor recreation center (biking, skiing, climbing, fishing, etc.). Its historic main street has a good variety of small, locally owned businesses with good food and drink, sports shops, and general retail. The people are friendly and very helpful.

We loved the whole experience.
We loved the whole experience. The skiing, of course, is always fantastic, but so was Griz Days (the whole town gets involved). We also attended a sold out Ghostriders playoff game that was really electric and enjoyed some of Fernie's food/restaurant offerings that really compete with the calibre you'd get in any large city.

Fernie has great and plenty of accommodations but with many many construction workers and it being summer I would highly recommend booking far in advance of your stay. The Hostel is rough and the basic of amenities in the room. Take your own towels. Sounds outrageous but we weren't offered towels, what services were available, or offered anything other than the room at check in. I have stayed in hostels that were quite comfortable but I would never recommend the Raging Elk to anyone. There were no rooms available except this place . We had business in Fernie otherwise we would have carried on to Cranbrook.

Fernie is a great little town.
Fernie is a great little town. I liked the shops as they were unique and offered different options. Also liked buying items that were made locally. The mountain view was amazing, loved how the mountains surrounded the town. The bagel shop food was great. I loved the chocolate shop as the chocolate was made locally which is why I made a purchase there. Some of the clothing in stores were very pricey, seemed to be good quality though. Very friendly service experience everywhere I shopped.

We loved this town!
We loved this town! Like Telluride without the pretense and movie stars. And way more affordable! Snow Valley Lodge is amazing with great rooms and tiny houses too... although they were booked. I forgot an item and they saved it for me.
Friendly and beautiful town! And the beer is really good too!
Well located. Easy walking distance to the main street. Good bistro over the road. Hotel delivered fair value. Ski shuttle pick up at door. Shuttle tickets provided free. Good coffee. Simple but adequate breakfast with fresh fruit. Pool and hot tub.
We were in Fernie to ski and needed somewhere to sleep. This hotel met our needs.
Great spot in the Fernie area. Right at the base of the mountain. We were there in summer and you can catch the chair lift up for mountain biking right outside your door. Comfy bed and full kitchen which is a nice thing to have. Host accommodated our request for an early check in which was nice.
The location was perfect, right by Fernie's entrance. There is enough parking.
The emailed instructions to reach and open the property were clear and were provided promptly.
The property was spotless and very well maintained. Apart from the TV, there was a microwave and a fridge in the room.
I did like the location. Easy to get everywhere. Plenty of parking. The Boston Pizza bar and restaurant were a big plus to have right in the same building as the hotel. Didn't get to try the breakfast, but you could smell the bacon just about everywhere.
The rooms were very unique and we loved the style. There was a microwave in our Queen pet friendly room as well as complimentary coffee and a mini fridge. Our stay included use of the hot tub and complimentary bike rentals.
The bed was super comfy. Nice and clean. More room than we expected! There were no other vacancies in Fernie and we HAD to stop for the night. It ended up being much nicer than we expected and a good value for the cost.
We love the location with access to so many activities: hiking, biking, swimming, kids’ aerial park.
The beds are phenomenal to sleep in! So comfy, which is hard to say about a lot of hotels.
Super happy with this comfy, fun little hotel. Loved the fox motif!
Staff were friendly and helpful, fresh coffee in the foyer in the morning. Glad we chose it!
Comfortable, clean rooms. Amazing views. Bar and liquor store in hotel. Great service. Best part is walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops.
