Free wifi and free parking
The premise is a hostel with a couple of rooms set aside for guests wanting the more hotel style experience, but felt like a hostel at a higher price rate. Shower was luke warm, wifi a bit intermittent because the room was in the loft and probably a bit far from the modem
Didn;t know that the hostel had no elevator, but the manager very kindly upgraded us to a main floor room from the third floor room we were booked. There was a well equipped kitchenette, and the bathroom was large. The included breakfast was plain, but adequate. This would be a great place for young backpackers/skiers to stay, but really not appropriate for older folks who need more comforts and fewer stairs. Overall ok, but not worth $100.
Unfortunately, the queen size bed (?) was very low, and we couldn't sleep on it, ended up on the two twin beds that were also in the room. The hot tub was not working, and the lock on our patio doors was broken. Could use a mattress, blanket and towell upgrade
Wonderful facility and a great host with very useful recommendations. We had a wonderful weekend.
a bit quiet and relaxed atmosphere
location is far from the whistler village and the breakfast is basic and light(just bread and peanut butter/marmalade/egg) this is a hostel so expect to climb the stairs with all your luggage
Convenient to the centre of Whistler but away from the noise and bustle.
Easy access to the village and other areas.
Breakfast is advertised, but portions are controlled to a very, very small amount. Would not be an issue if breakfast wasn't advertised. Guests are allowed 1 hard boiled egg in the morning.
Very nice house and facilities - jacuzi, etc. Parking for free in the garden. Good deal for the little money...
Far away from Whistler centre - car or bike is needed! Shared men's room is very very very small. No place for luggage at all. 4 beds in the room designed for 2-3 people. You need to store the luggage in the car! A lot of dust on the floor.
Room was comfortable. Parking. Flamingos. No tv in the room
The price offered online escalated when we arrived ( because of tax and because we had an 'extra' person in the room - 2 adults 1child
Easy going staff and facility
Would ve liked a bit more help on available activities and how to join them
Very friendly and helpful owner; large main room, where guests from lodge rooms and hostel rooms meet
It was inexpensive for this time of year. Easy to find.
The duvet did not have a top sheet so I was wondering if they wash the whole duvet everytime. Otherwise I am getting the same blankets that every one else slept against without washing!
Lounge with sofas and tv Jacuzzi pool General look and feel of the place
At times difficult to communicate with staff whose english could improve
The owner was nice and the ambiance was cool
The 2 Asian girls (employees) who did not speak English, that was annoying.
Exterior is nice. Staff is welcoming. Heated floors throughout.
No top sheets on the beds. One mattress in the room was so thin you could feel the "frame" underneath. Beds overall were very important to me in a place to stay, and I've never had a more uncomfortable sleep. Not to mention questioned the hygiene without a top sheet and sleeping directly under the duvet. Wifi stopped working on our second day. Parking was almost always full and difficult. Walls are thin. Interior looks far superior in the photographs than in reality. Booking.com forced me to choose either the suite or the shared dorm style, wasn't aware of the 2 or 3 person rooms and overpaid.
I liked the place. It was very nice and neat. The owner was very nice and helpful.
Geoffrey, the owner is just wonderful. Helpful and relaxed, hangs around and if you do not know better, you would take him as one the guests. An amazing lounge, I would have slept the night away on one of the couches if I could, and maybe I could have. Hot tub, steam room, wifi, breakfast..... And all of this at such a great value, particularly in whistler which is a notoriously expensive.
You tell me if you know any.
Jeff the owner is an awesome guy. Rooms are very clean and extremely affordable. Burkley the dog is also awesome to hang with.
Sometime it's too awesome and you get an awesome overload
Had a fantastic stay, the place is amazing, Jeff and the girls are fantastic hosts.
Free usage of Steambath and Jacuzzi. Friendly staff.
Very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable compared to other places in Whistler.
No sound proof at all, you can hear absolutely everything. We stayed there for two nights and both days there were dozens of local kids hanging out everywhere even after late hours, it was very noisy. Not sure if that was only during Christmas or happens all the time
Friendly staff, great location away from the bustle of the Village, but close enough for easy access to the ski hill. Accommodations very comfortable
Excellent friendly, helpful staff, good facilities and good value
The location is a little out of town but it is nice and quiet and the public transport links are good
Geoffrey, who runs Alpine Lodge made sure all my needs were met and made my first time staying there comfortable. He even found me some breakfast even though I had slept past the regular meal time. The place was gorgeous, and I am very glad I chose this while attending a wedding over the weekend. Awesome hot tub and upstairs lounge. Perfect for friends, families, or solos. It was honestly better than any of the whistler hotel experiences I've had in the past.
It was just perfect, I had the best time ever. I would totally recommend the hostel to everyone who likes to stay in Whistler not in the village but in the amazing nature!Very friendly personal, couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you for making it one of the best times ever!!
friendly staff, facilities
dirty stained couches in main social room from wet dog sleeping on them
