Service was excellent.
Beds were uncomfortable...pool area was dirty. Not a good value given the size and condition of hotel.
it is not convenient to go to downtown if you don't drive
location and price facilities staff view POOL
A bit rundown airconditionning loud and uneven-disturbed sleep windows did not open no refrigerator
There was a very good restaurant just at the side of the hotel with nice and clever staff. Good food.
The staff and the cleanliness
the carpet was loss between the corridor and bathroom my mother almost tripped, tile in the bathroom had a crack, the closed door only closed if you closed both at the same time, the view was on the train tracks. I was trying to do something special for my mother, next time I go cheap then I want be disappointed
Kids liked the pool and the birds. Short drive to old town Quebec City. Much less expensive than downtown. Not far from Northern attractions. Don't be concerned about hotel location, safe and convenient.
The 1970 elevator music. Extremely loud HVAC units. Chlorine smell, but to be expected with room over looking pool.
close to main highway and easy access to all attractions.
Photos of room on-line do not represent what your room will look like. I was of the understanding that a superior room had a poolside view or a view of the river. Ours had a view of the back parking lot.
Hotel is only about a 5-10 min. cab ride from old downtown, and Via train station. Lots of restaurant choices nearby, if you do not want to eat at the excellent restaurant on site. Pool area is also great for all ages. Staff were very helpful, and are bilingual.
Unfortunately they only provided one pack of coffee in room, and no teas or decaf coffee.
room needs some updating. no fridge.
position is very convenient if travelling by car
Rooms need to be refurbished, the carpet is old and ruined, rooms and corridors seem to come out from the ‘70s of the past century. Images on the website do not correspond to reality.
I liked the king size bed but it did have a rolling feature so it moved when you got in it or when you turned to get comfortable.
The carpet had a musky smell, the ac was way to loud for comfort, the tub had a step to get into it to shower and that made it not safe to get in and out of. The sink was new but the rest of the bathroom wasn't, that is an odd renovation .also there was no fan in the bathroom.
Clean room, and bathroom. A good view of the river. Area has eateries, convenience store, and gas stations nearby. Sheets were changed promptly and bath room cleaned and replenished timely when required. Restaurant on site is with good food and service.
Breakfast is not included. Internet wi-fi was not workable for laptop, and failed on my Galaxy S4. Room doesn't have refrigerator. Location is rather away from downtown if you're looking for location near it.
Nice base to explore the city. Nice restaurants just in front of the hotel.
The pool is very small. The picture shown is made with a wide lens :-)
the old look, old carpets, sofa, not providing complementary breakfast,
The hotel is close to the old town.
The hotel is not clean and there were clear evidence that it has not been maintained for long time. We planned to stay for two nights in the hotel. After settling in the room we noticed the a loud noise coming from the vending machine and ice machine on the floor, and we asked to be moved to a different room. The next shock came from black mould around the bath tub, cracked wall tiles in the shower and he wallpaper was peeled off from the walls due to lack of ventilation in the bathroom. The carpet looked discolored and like it has never been cleaned. Also, there was enough dust above the wardrobe to write your name. This hotel is far from being placed in four stars category, it should be closed and completely renovated, because the location is great and it has a lot of potential. Until than I would not recommend this place to anyone, it is not word your money time and discomfort.
The pool area was great!
We booked this hotel at last minute on our way back and it was such a nice surprise. We booked a two queen beds room. On arrival they surclassed us and we had a private balcony wih a view on the pool complex. The bathroom is very big and super clean, the beds were quite comfortable, and the pool and jacuzzi were so very welcome after driving all day.
the odor of chlore in the hotel because of the pool (but it was still ok).
The proximity of the Hotel to all the attractions. Very comfortable room. Restaurant was very good! Our waiter was great!
staff has a nice indoor pool
location no breakfast hardware quite old
Indoor swimming pool with spa Good price for what you get Nice people Free parking Easy access (by car) to downtown Quebec
Extremely noisy air conditionning Hotel is getting a bit old, but still ok especially for the price
Room is big with nice view.
