staff were friendly. hotel tidy even tho it was experiencing some record rainfall and wind warnings. I arrived late and left early, I would have liked to spend more time there
the main lobby had buckets on the floor because the gazebo leaked. this is the west coast, it rains. the hotel was tidy but it has been awhile since a coat of paint.
Good location, nice ocean view
Needs some work to the hotel. A little worn in areas.
We loved the Pool and comfort of the beds. Pet friendly is perfect on the ground floor. Great Staff all around Hotel.
We didn't like the Bite's on our legs in the morning although all linen's seemed clean and fresh. Could have been our allergies but then the next night my Fiance had more bite's just above the ankle's. Group Bite's indicating flee's. we also didn't like the layout of the Hotel. We found ourselves in a maze-like set up. Did a lot of searching for the right corner to turn . Simple fix I guess. Good excersize too .
The room leaked. Dripping water all night, from 2 spots on the ceiling. Front desk offered 10% off. The tax on the room was 13%.
I liked the staff .
I had to leave the patio door open all night, the room was extremely hot and stuffy ! The place needs a facelift.. it is dark and dingy !
Spacious, comfortable room Swimming pool, hot tub Good restaurant, helpful, friendly staff and generous servings.
The hotel is a little dated
Location Comfort of room Staff
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was delicious and filling. The kids really enjoyed the indoor pool. We enjoyed our stay.
Seaside location and breakfast included.
Insufficient staff for Sunday morning's breakfast, therefore service was compromised.
i really enjoyed the room and watching the cruise ships go buy to alaska
i really didnt like the roadway from the highway down to the front of the building very ruff
The view was beautiful. One evening a small group of orca swam by the hotel. price/quality was good. Free breakfast was fine.
The room looked a bit shabby with torn curtains. Also bathroom looked a bit shabby.
View of Quadra Island, can see the Light house at the Cape. and the Ocean Also very quiet. Would stay again, when in Campbell River, B. C.
Great view... Didn't charge us for breakfast... Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable..
Everything was outdated, room smelled like stail cigarettes.. This hotel needs to be totally updated... Electrical outlets were hard to find & overloaded.. Breakfast was horrible... Parking lot was difficult to leave if another was entering...
Gorgeous view balconies
No elevator and no food available till 5:30
The pool was very nice and the view from the room is wonderful. We watched a cruise ship go by in the evening and listened to birds all morning.
Not a good hotel for people that have trouble with stairs. In some cases you have no choice but to take stairs.
Enjoyed the pool and spa and the bacon and egg free breakfast and the friendly staff
Having to leave
The spring rolls in the restaurant. The staff were accommodating and friendly.
The room we stayed in was extremely hot.. even left the patio door open all night ( not great for security purposes.. but it was suffocating .
The views were fantastic.
Very poor restaurant service.no substitute on menu items, therefore hard to accommodate vegetarians. Long waits for simple things like toast and coffee. Very old building and it shows as such.
Location, view, breakfast, wi fi-- all good
Watched the cruise ships sail by my room - an unexpected surprise. Easy walk to the down town area. Good solid breakfast. Some renovations taking place and it's a bit of a labyrinth finding your way around but for the money it's a darn good deal.
Super view, very quiet
smelled of cigs, needed some up keep, parking not the best because of entrance , stairs!!!
Location Able to park boat and truck The ladies in the restaurant at diner and breakfast
No air conditioning No screen on sliding balcony door No sound barrier between rooms Smokers on balcony Renovation noise
We loved the ocean view, the staff was pleasant and very helpful. Our bed was very comfortable. The curtains blocked out the sunlight and made the room very dark so we could sleep in if we wanted to. The balcony was clean and an awesome view of the water and moon. We had our motorcycles with us and were able to park them right in front of our room which is what we like. There is a restaurant right in the hotel (very handy so we can have a drink and don't have to drive) with a very friendly and helpful server (Tracy) who has served us three times and every time a good experience (Thank you Tracy)... the food is good too, especially the pecan tarts, which are to die for. The room has lots of extras that you don't get at a lot of motels/hotels like sewing kit, make-up remover, shower cap, Keurig coffee maker as well as the usual shampoo and soaps. The room also had a fridge, microwave and flat screen tv and was roomier than a lot of places we've stayed before that charged a lot more money. Also the room came with a free breakfast included. This was a real breakfast served by a server (another nice lady), not the usual continental breakfast that you have to line up for and serve yourself. Scrambled eggs, bacon, pan fries, choice of white or brown toast and jam, etc. coffee or tea... just enough for us and tasty.
There was a little bit of renos going on but it didn't interfere with us at all. Although the room didn't have air conditioning, there was a fan in the room which we didn't need to use... the nice sea breeze coming in the balcony door was sufficient.
