The view was beautiful. One evening a small group of orca swam by the hotel. price/quality was good. Free breakfast was fine.
The room looked a bit shabby with torn curtains. Also bathroom looked a bit shabby.
View of Quadra Island, can see the Light house at the Cape. and the Ocean Also very quiet. Would stay again, when in Campbell River, B. C.
Gorgeous view balconies
No elevator and no food available till 5:30
The pool was very nice and the view from the room is wonderful. We watched a cruise ship go by in the evening and listened to birds all morning.
Not a good hotel for people that have trouble with stairs. In some cases you have no choice but to take stairs.
Enjoyed the pool and spa and the bacon and egg free breakfast and the friendly staff
Having to leave
The views were fantastic.
Very poor restaurant service.no substitute on menu items, therefore hard to accommodate vegetarians. Long waits for simple things like toast and coffee. Very old building and it shows as such.
Location, view, breakfast, wi fi-- all good
Watched the cruise ships sail by my room - an unexpected surprise. Easy walk to the down town area. Good solid breakfast. Some renovations taking place and it's a bit of a labyrinth finding your way around but for the money it's a darn good deal.
Super view, very quiet
smelled of cigs, needed some up keep, parking not the best because of entrance , stairs!!!
Location Able to park boat and truck The ladies in the restaurant at diner and breakfast
No air conditioning No screen on sliding balcony door No sound barrier between rooms Smokers on balcony Renovation noise
Friendly and capable staff. Site shows obvious improvements of late and work continues. The hotel has potential to be a great destination resort.
Lack of air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable. Construction noise was a nuisance, but obviously needed. One person at lobby desk and one covering dining room is inadequate when there are people waiting in line. I was amazed at how staff coped and with good humor.
the views, the facilities ( great pool)location, friendly staff ( all) breakfast was good. room was clean and beds were comfortable, hotel was undergoing some rennos and i`m sure will be better when done. but still a good place.would come back.
no air conditioning, but still livable. bit of construction noise but to be expected, didn`t bother us, most was done through the day while we were out.
Great view and location!
Tiny, cramped gym with ancient equipment. No AC, no screens on sliding door so room filled with bugs.
Staff / Location / View / Breakfast All Great. The INN NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED A LITTLE....ITS GETTING OLD & WEARY LIKE US TRAVELERS. GREAT DOUBLE BEDS, TOWELS ETC ETC.
the view from the dining room and our room
1. age of the building 2. it's like a maze to get from floor 1 to the pool, spa, and dining room 3. We were on the first floor ; there is NO elevator to get to the dining room or swimming pool, or spa. We also had to drive from the check in floor to our first floor! 4. Parking is VERY difficult.
Noisy service truck at 5 am, also hard to find lobby from 1 st floor
The restaurant needs more staff and or more competent staff.
We vacationed to Campbell River BC. The staff was very accommodating for short notice. Staff very helpful in sites to see while visiting the area.
Restaurant food and servers excellent
Smoking is tolerated even though 'no smoking ban' in area. Our room was used for someone to smoke on balcony only a short time before we checked in at 8.00pm. Fan used to get rid of smoke but not successful. Cigarette butts thrown over the balcony. Staff when notified were non-chalant and did nothing not even apologize. Allergic reactions, coughing from the smoke spoiled the stay.
Location, pool, comfortable room.
Limited breakfast. Staff we're quite offhand.
View and pleasant room
Not all staff helphful,
Scenery was great with the views of the ocean off your balcony, the breeze off the ocean at nite makes it very comfortable for sleeping
Lack of signage to make it easier to find your way through the maze like design of the hotel from the lower floors to the lobby.
The views and the people
How the hotel was against smokers very unfair especially when my spouse has a disability and she uses a walker to many stairs to get to front desk
The staff The room The location The price
No airconditioning!!! I didn't know there were any hotels in existence that did not have air. The patio door did not have a screen either! I was responsible for booking the rooms and I was embarrassed. We had booked a second night and cancelled them the next morning.
View of the water Staff in dining room were very good.
The whole hotel needs a serious overhaul. Chairs in the dining room are threadbare. Hotel did not respond to our E-mail about bringing our pet yet our message was printed out on the desk. So we were to have a king bed on the 6 th floor and ended up with 2 queen beds on the ground floor. It was so hot in the room that we had to sleep with the door open which was a real safety concern. Shampoo was not a good quality. Whole room needed renovations. Everything in the hotel was cheap including my request for an extra slice of toast with the breakfast, as it only came with one slice of bread, only to be told it would be about $2 for the slice. Desk clerk was not engaging at all. She told us not to deal with Booking.com but to call direct. She was obviously not a good positive person to be on the Front Desk.
