Staff was friendly and the facility seemed clean. Breakfast was nice.
Service was not available or very slow. Seemed the B&B was not prepared for us. No bedding for the futon on first night. The room smelled musty/damp and was quite warm with no ventilation.
The staff were delightful. Very good breakfast. Our room was lovely.
A little tight to park.
The woman running the inn is unwelcoming and ungracious. The room was damp and barely clean. We had to pay for breakfast, even though we were leaving early in the AM--and there was no offer of even a mouthful for the road. Don't waste your money!!!!!
Room was too small & in need of some sprucing up. Outside of inn didn't have a comfortable place to walk around, driveway & parking difficult, not a scenic or restful environment. Had stayed in several B&Bs on this vacation and this was not up to par with the others.
Our room was unique and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good.
Just missing a few items for a late night snack and a cup of tea for weary travellers.
Joanna and Dan are fantastic hosts, very attentive. We arrived after midnight and they had left us instructions to get in and Dan still met us. The breakfast was good, the bed comfortable and the room very clean.
The driveway… but can't help that.
Hosts were very friendly and interesting and willing to do whatever to make your stay enjoyable was clean and breakfast was nice we were close to airport and easy to get down town to see whatever we wanted
It was hard to get into drive needed ceiling fan got warm even with sm window fan needs some updating on decor
# 1 Breakfast # 2 the staff
# 1 having to go out in the hall to reach the bathroom.
Katherine and Dan were wonderful hosts, informative, helpful and entertaining. Our stay here beats all others for the week in N.S. and a highlight of the trip.
Quiet... Room with four poster bed and pull out roomy and had two windows that were open. Hosts friendly and tried hard.
Property not well maintained outdoors. Curtains/drapes were poor. Twin bedroom small. Dirty ashtrays on the balcony/deck. Chatter of female host was exhausting. Dining room table was well set, however breakfast was not 4 star quality. Harborside questionable.
Staff was interested in each guest and their individual stories. They make every effort to make guests feel at home and sincerely solicit suggestions as to how they can improve their service. It was like visiting family (the good stuff) for a few days.
Dirty and smell stays like house of drunks. Very noisy. We lived above living room. Maybe we are not lucky. Some rooms are in the other part of house.
The personalized breakfast menu, the friendliness of the owners/operators.
Not enough privacy.
Everything was great
The drive way was prob the only thing I didn't like
We liked the warm welcome of the inn keeper. She has extended her accommodation to our requests and anticipated them. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and will come back in our future travel to Halifax.
The room I stayed in was cold. It turned out I was in an older part of the house and the thermostat controls a room in the newer part as well. The thermostat is right outside the newer room and if they get hot they turn the temp down. I did not know this and I didn't know that the thermostat was located across the hall and down.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We will definitely be returning.
I was there on business.so I didn't get in until late, and left early. They had my room all ready for when I showed up.. And in the morning, they had coffee on with a note. Great place.. I will defiantly be returning.
Having all the amenities and more of a hotel but located in a house so it was quiet. Price was much cheaper than a hotel. Would stay there again !
Not their fault but it was icy driving up the slope.
Amazing and beautiful. One of my best stays in the city will for sure be going back!
It is a little bit difficult for car to drive to...
Royal suite lovely
Ran out of oil so no heat for first day. Room temperature was below 10 c. Next day our room was 25 c and all other rooms 15 c. We were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. Not delux as advertised.
It was off-road and fairly quiet; though not aesthetically pleasing spot. Our room was quite comfortable; the people were friendly, breakfast was good and other travellers quite diverse and friendly
Rather cold and uninviting living room on the afternoon of our arrival. Walls seemed paper thin so tht one heard others'voices and footsteps too much. I especially don't like receiving daily emails from you guys (Booking.com ) when I asked that that NOT happen (hint hint...)
