Stunning architecture, breathtaking restoration. We had the "Cottage Room" on the third floor.
Dead quiet, very spacious, and beautifully appointed. These folks have spared no expense and it's reflected everywhere. Come for the location, the warmth of the hosts and the comfy beds, but stay for the mind-blowing breakfast. We were bowled over by the grilled vegetable, feta and goat cheese omelettes, blueberry pancakes, sausages, baked beans, baked peaches with cinnamon and raisins, home fries, juice and coffee. Almost had to go back to bed! Walk to any one of a dozen or more restaurants and dozens of shops within 10 minutes of the house. The wharf (where Bluenose II is docked) is about a five minute walk. You will not beat Ashleigh House for comfort, location, warm welcome or the thoroughly outstanding breakfast. They book up fast, so book well ahead of time.
Having to leave.
