Location, pool, hottub Room had no water, then it was brown then there was no hot water. Had to get moved to another room , water better but still brown and cold at times. Room was unbearably hot so had to keep windows open but cigarette and pot smoke from unit below filled our room constantly over 3 day period. I was nauseous and could not sleep and had small children who had to experience the smell. I was then told that this is a known problem with the private unit directly below us (we were in room 545) Why on earth were we then moved to this room if this is a known issue with this unit? Why wasn't police called? I was locked in my room at one point as the door handle fell off, I then stained my outfit with grease from the door handle, ruined my dinner plans for that evening and it was a huge fire hazard!! I was stressed during my entire visit from the minute I arrived till the minute I left. All I was offered was free parking and one nite free. My entire visit should have been free with a free dinner thrown in for all my troubles. I am 49 yrs old and I have never had such a negative experience and with so little compensation. Unbelievable!

Location - ski in ski out. Non guests (ski bums and Whistler staff) using and monopolizing the facilities Re: hot tubs. This is not supervised or enforced. Wrist band policy should be utilized and enforced. Many guests were complaining about this. I would not return unless this problem was rectified. $15 per night parking. Never paid for parking on previous trips. (Shake me upside down and see if I have any more money in my packets) Must be a Whistler thing. $99 lift tickets. I don't normally ski Whistler, it was convenient on this trip. I would recommend other resorts in B.C. Lift lines and value for your $.

It was nice and quiet the pool and the hot tubs were very nice. I was very unimpressed by the fact that when i booked our room i was told there was free parking and when we got there it was 15$a day which is absurd when someone is already paying to stay at that facility.

Excellent apartment, near city center and ski chair lift. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Low price for a very good place to stay. Unfortunately, during our stay they were making some improvements outside the apartment and we had no privacy during the day. Also there was a lot of dust and some noise. We had bad lucky with the period we choose.

This was a summer visit so it does not reflect the activities related to the winter season. Staff were attentive. Rooms were excellent. Paying for parking - I never have had to pay for parking anywhere else in North America or Europe. Maintenance staff were operating machinery evry day for 8 days - noisy!

A very spacious and well-furnished suite and fantastic value for money, especially as the fully equipped kitchen provided a very convenient self-catering facility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In view of the hot weather air conditioning would have been nice, but at least there was a portable fan.

We stayed at the Aspens 10yrs ago and really enjoyed our stay, hence why we decided to return. However, it looks 10yrs older and could do with a face lift. Found staff very helpful and obliging - nothing was ever a problem. Even changed our room upon arrival, as didn't enjoy location and as we were going to be there for an extended period, wanted another option of room, which was granted. Place seems a little shabby - ironing board wouldn't close down, cupboard door came off its hinges, looks like it could do with a lick of paint.

The resort is located right on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain, it has a nice size pool and hot tub. Views from the slopeside rooms are nice and the hotel itself looks decently kept. In Summer when not skiing, the Aspens is a bit of a walk to the Village but nothing challenging for able people. This is also a blessing because night-life in Whistler can be noisy and long, so being a few minutes outside is a good thing! The rooms are slightly dated and some little details are rough but nothing terrible to report.

Access to the slopes was great. The small on site rental shop was sufficient and helpgul, as well as the friendly ski valet service.. The complex is a mix of property operated rentals as well as privately managed units. While I experienced no difficulties I observed confusion by others in trying to resolve issues with keys, fobs, etc. There is no food service on site and the closest is a hike down the slope.
