It was comfy and right on portage, easy to get where we needed to go
There was only a few channels to choose from
Bathroom was filthy. Bathtub had hair in it and on the tub surrond. Toilet wasnt cleaned and around the base...!!
Some people were partying next door to my room, and they were pretty loud. I respected the hotel's policies, other people should too.
We always stay here when in Wpg which is every other week lately. Comfortable and affordable, always clean and very good breakfast. Staff very nice. Had one time where there was a noise problem. All said it is good
The room was VERY HOT. I had to sleep with the window and door open.
Excellent value and excellent location.
We could not adjust the heat so the room was very hot and dry. Wifi was terrible!
Cold draft from deck door
It was comfy and convenient with everything there vendir restaurant bar etc.
Mattresses had crumbs n dirt on them and the room was too warm for that day needs a desk fan for happy medium
Good hotel for decent price. Booked it for the second time.
Annoingly loud neighbours in the middle of the night.
Would be better if they had a list of channels they do get so you don't have to flip through the ones they don't have
Location, price, lots of hot water in the shower, and when asked they made the effort to provide a quiet room location...
Noise travels in the room and the neighbor sounded like she was in my room not hers. This place is quite dated though good staff, location and price are a balance.
Big, comfortable and very clean rooms. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was delicious! Definitely great value. We would strongly recommend it!
Can be a little noisy because some rooms face the highway, but this wasn't really a problem for us.
The location was great, right on Portage near the Assiniboine Park.
The room was far too hot without a way to turn the heat down. There was a window that opened which made it bearable. The lobby/restaurant/casino building was very dated and seedy looking but the rooms were in a separate motel type building across the street which was good.
the cost and the staff
The facility is not fancy but it was very clean, very affordable!!! and very comfortable!!
I used the exercise room and found it to be very hot, which is uncomfortable when your exercising. a simple fix would be a simple oscillating fan! :)
Very clean and comfortable room.
The fact that you check in at the front desk but you have to walk across the street to go to your room.
Room was clean and quiet.
The bar was bar service only. Seems to be the hangout for the locals, but the bartender is only interested in them. The restaurant food was terrible but the waitress was great. Extremely expensive food for extremely poor quality.
It was a decent price for what it was. It's easy to find but still not the best area. I was approached by some lady asking for money because she had just been jumped a few days ago and needed money for the bus. This would not have bothered me if I did not have small children. So for adults good place to crash over night but not the best place for kids. Live and learn, but it is close to the zoo.
Air conditioning was turned off. Extremely warm in the room.
The staff was very helpful. The location was walking distance to great food places as well as Assiniboine Park. The facilities were clean. Free breakfast was convenient. I would stay here again. It was a great stop on our summer roadtrip.
The bar across the street n people standing around outside being creepy
Great spot for price Easy to get around I stayed on motel side - quiet, clean , nice and even has a fridge & balcony included. Would stay again.
The staff were really friendly, good price if u don't want to spend too much for a hotel. Also the free breakfast was great. Not too far from polo park & the zoo.
The room I stayed in was freezing all the time, and it was summer time. The hotel rooms aren't attached to the building where the front desk is. No pool or microwave in the room.
Location is good, close to polo park rooms are decent with balconies and outside access rooms clean and comfortable
access doors and room doors are very loud closing. Walls are thing, you can hear perfectly the room next door and people entering exiting building.
We did like the shower, never any surging in the water temperature, so that was very nice,. should have for safety of an older person some railing to step in and out of the tub.
Our room faced the street and the traffic was constantly noisy. Our room in August was very cold, we had to be in bed under a blanket or our feet were cold. Food service was slow, waitress was very nice. Breakfast was ok but no fruits or, beverage choices unless paid extra. Our room was across the street from the Inn's registration desk and the dining area. The room card key didn't hold for the 3 night stay, had to go back several times. Entrance to the registration and restaurant was not handicap accessable. Nothing about the Inn appeared to be updated. Nothing pretty or stylish about the room, just felt it was a place to sleep and shower vs relaxing in the room. Would have hoped to see a microwave in room.
