the property was immaculate and exceptionally clean. The hostesses were great.
There was a bit of road noise since our room was next to street
Shoes off!!!! What's up with that?
The beautiful reception and bedrooms. The very warm welcome from Sebelle and Susan. The wonderful objects d'art in all the rooms. The willing help at all times. The excellent breakfast prepared to order. Finally thank you for finding and sending to us some personal belongings we managed to leave behind!
The quality of the breakfast, the helpfulness of the staff, and the comfortable, beautiful old house were as good or better than anywhere else we stayed on our trip around NS. They thought of everything!
I can't think of a thing not to like here. The house is charming and the owners have thought of everything. We were welcomed with fresh-baked cookies, and immediately made to feel at home. The location is easy to find and venture out from, and breakfast included extensive choices, which were all prepared and served to perfection. This is a great stay for your money.
The home was lovely, well furnished, & comfortable. Anything you would need was available to you - even tea or coffee 24 hrs/day. The owners were very helpful, gracious & accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious wi a good variety. Wish we could've stayed there for our entire visit!
Our only negative was having to remove our shoes but we do understand. If you bring house shoes you're ok.
On my way traveling through pei and ns I stayed in various B and Bs. The Atlantic sojourn was the best! It outclassed all expectations! The house was beautiful, the room spacious, the hosts wonderful and breakfast really good!!! Definite recommendation!!!!
all the comforts of a beautifly decorated and furnished home. Atmosphere was lovely, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was fresh and homemade.
Couldn't stay longer.
Our hosts were excellent. They were warm and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent and a menu was offered. The room was comfortable and quaint
Sabelle and Susan was very attentive to all guest and always ready to give suggestions on places to see and restaurants in the area. The home was so beautiful and inviting. The whole experience at Atlantic Sojourn was more than we ever expected at a B&B.
This is an impeccable B&B: the two hostesses have thought of and provided everything. I left a toilet article behind, and shortly after I arrived home it arrived in the mail: I really didn't expect that additional consideration.
We decided to embark on an East Coast road trip adventure. Within the 7 days that we had to share with various B&Bs, hotels and motels this one offered a more warm personal touch to our stay. Everything, from names of the rooms and color coded towels to picking the breakfast out of a menu was very well organized and planned out. P.S. Loved the tour of the house in the beginning.
The host were gracious, informative and made us feel at home. Breakfast was great. Would stay her 2 nights if time permits. Town is charming.
Hosts Susan and Sebelle were gracious and helpful hosts. They have thought of every detail to make guests comfortable. This is a beautifully restored historic home.
Our stay was too short.
Warm owners. Directions, travel advice, comfortable surroundings. Everything a travellor needs.
Among the many things we liked about the Atlantic Sojourner B&B was all the visitor information. Susan and Sebelle are like in-house travel guides. They take pride in knowing all there is to see and do in the Lunenburg area and how to get you there. And they have lots of resources: everything from detailed maps to restaurant menus. When you're new to an area and only have a day or so to work with, that kind of skilled direction matters a lot.
If you are interested in the finer details of a B&B, this is the place. They thought of everything to make your stay comfortable; luxurious bath robes and towels. Even though breakfast was included, we did not eat. I am sure, like everything else, it was top shelf.
You could not wear shoes in the house and had to leave them at the front door. It was a little inconvenient for my husband.
Both Sebelle and Susan were extrodinary host. We were welcome with so much warmth and from the moment we arrived til we departed was exceptional. The place is implecablely clean and breakfast was fantastic. Great value and I would definitely go back there and highly recommend anyone visiting Lunenburg a destination place to stay.
Two of the warmest hosts ever, wonderful breakfasts with multiple choices each morning, beautiful, comfortable rooms, in a great location, plus warm home-made chocolate chip cookies every day along with serve yourself coffee and tea.
No cons here!
The owners and staff showed such great concern that we were comfortable and that our needs were met. Atlantic Sojourner was a wonderful place too stay. Daryl safe that we obtained seating on the fabulous whale watch and have us tips for all the local sights.
Sebelle and Susan are delightful, charming, genuine and many other wonderful things. They welcomed me, and the other guests, with real warmth. They are interesting and interested, the best combination. They make it easy for guests to enjoy each other's company at breakfast and at other times. The property is immaculate, and the rooms have little touches that one expects at a 5 star resort, not a B&B. Although not "locals" by origin, they know their community and Nova Scotias well, and have many good tips to offer. I was really sorry to leave! Until next time ...
The 24 hour availability of delicious home-made chocolate cookies and Hershey's Kisses, plus many types of coffee and tea, which I must admit I did not resist! But then I realized that this is considered by most people to be a plus! (OK, for those of you who didn't get it, it's my attempt at humor!)
Handy for walking into centre. comfy room and great breakfast. extremely clean. hosts very welcoming and give great attention to detail. deck for socialising with other guests
on main road so noisy at night if you have the front room.
Excellent hostesses, food and facilities. Hostesses went the extra mile to accommodate gluten-free requests. Would highly recommend.
Loved the proximity to the shops and restaurants and harbour walking path. Also close to grocery and wine store. Sebelle cooks delicious breakfasts, especially those biscuits, and Susan serves with flair.
Only complaint was the traffic noise at night but otherwise highly reccommended
The friendly owners really want to make a guest’s stay exceptional. The house and grounds for this B&B are beautifully maintained, with examples of the innkeepers’ personal interests and travels scattered throughout the house. We stayed in a twin bed room on the second floor with very comfortable beds and had access to several common rooms on the first floor and a wonderful second floor porch, along with many magazines and CDs. Breakfast is bountiful and ordered a day ahead to ensure that fresh ingredients are available. They use local products and provide everything from waffles to yogurt/fruit/granola to eggs or porridge. The owners can provide lots of excellent recommendations for what to see and do on the South Shore and beyond, and it's easy walking to the shops and docks of Lunenburg. A truly exceptional experience and I hope to stay there again.
