Breakfast could have had larger portions.
Friendly and helpful staff, generous size rooms, clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is excellent, both the included breakfast and we also enjoyed dinner there and well worth every bite!
We like small hotels and inns in general. This hotel is in a great location right in the middle of Vieux Montreal. It is an old building with wonderful thick walls, large casement windows one could actually open, fine woodwork details, and we especially liked the relatively wide corridors unlike the rabbit warren appearance of many large chain hotels. The included breakfasts were delicious. This place had all the comforts one requires.
Our room was on the street side which was good for great light but it was noisy early in the morning.
Charged four nights for parking when we only had a car for 3 nights . Thought that was a bit weak. Breakfast over at 930 ... Too early when your on holidays .
We loved the look and feel of the inn, helpfulness of the staff, attention to detail, wonderful food, and comfortable room and bed.
Could have used a couple of small shelves in bathroom to hold personal items.
We asked for a quiet room and it certainly was! Lovely room with nice hardwood floors. The food at the hotel restaurant was exceptional as was the service.
-Bonaparte Restaurant served excellent cuisine! I had a lovely time with my friend. -Interior decor -Friendly and helpful staff -Delicious breakfast
Room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was very good. Hotel is steps from old city.
A quiet street (good for sleeping) and close to everything. Lovely atmosphere in hotel, very comfortable bed, great staff and excellent food.
Conveniently located in Old Montreal. Very helpful staff. Quaint, friendly and comfortable hotel. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Includes fruit, pastries, and many different hot dishes. Restaurant has a wide variety of selections for dinner. Service and food were excellent.
A bit pricey, but then so is everything else in Montreal. Parking is $17.50 but it is just across the street.
We chose the Old Town area for its historical interest and relied on the excellent reviews on Booking.com for the Auberge Bonaparte as our hotel and with its proximity to the cruise port. The included breakfast each day in their restaurant was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our two dinners each evening. I had hoped to be thoroughly indulged and we were. I can not give enough high praise for each of the staff members we met, even on the telephone months before our arrival. Because I had inquired about a room with handicapped access to the bathroom, unbeknownst to me, the staff assigned us a lovely, large 2 room suite at no additional charge. What a wonderful welcome surprise! Every staff member from the front desk, to the concierge to the head waiter and waiters were extremely professional and made us feel very welcome guests. Hope we can return soon to be pampered again in this lovely hotel in this magnificent city. --
Great location, the breakfast was excellent.
The mattress sagged a bit.
We have just spent 5 days at the Bonaparte and can and will recommend the beautiful Auberge to everyone. We will never stay in the "bigger: hotels in Montreal again. We were spoiled for others. From the moment we were greeted by the lovely Manager Anne Marie to the the last glass of wine at the bar with Edward...it was magical The staff are the friendliest I've ever encountered and their professionalism extraordinaire. The dining room is a gem, the food, from the complimentary breakfasts to the rack of lamb with port jus ,,delicious. The chef makes one of the best froi gras ever. Maitre'de Christoph and Georges run the restaurant with fluid motion...with such pleasant staff, like Chelsea and Jason.......you will get to the symphony or theatre on time and will still not be rushed. Late night supper by the fire place is soooo romantic. Have the chocolate mousse with a sprinkling of cayenne The ambience of the place is warm, welcoming and by the time we were ready to check out we were saying good-bye to friends. We will be back.
we had to leave!
Friendly staff. Excellent location. Excellent breakfast
Bed are not comfortable
The staff were amazing, especially the servers in the restaurant. The room was really spacious and we loved the hardwood floor! The place can be recommended to anybody looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the Old Montreal.
We would have appreciated having a coffee maker and/or an electric kettle in the room, but lack of them did not spoil the stay!
Great room, great dining room. Wonderful staff and super concierge. Stayed four nights and wish it would have been much longer.
Nothing to dislike.
Very comfortable beds, clean, very helpful staff
Bed was very comfortable and room was a good size.
The room was incredibly dark - brown ceiling and walls. Very small window so even in the day all the lights had to be switched on. No ceiling lights and other lighting not sufficient. Difficult even to make a cup of coffee as it was so dark.
this is a repeat visit. The rooms are excellent and quiet. The dining room does a superb job. The breakfast included is delicious. We love looking out the windows at the lovely old buildings and streets.
needed a new mattress!
Loved the location and the staff
Nothing special but adequate
The hotel staff were wonderful the restaurant is a must. Our room was comfortable and clean. Definitely worth the money.
The wi-fi was a little iffy and it was a little noisy at night but no more than you would expect in a city.
We chose this location in old Montreal especially for the location and it had dining amenities! We were able to enjoy an authentic French dining experience! Breakfast was also included! It was a great place to start at and end each day! The extra large Jacuzzi tub was a bonus!
Excellent service Good restaurant Large comfortable bedroom In centre of interesting area
Quaint and charming yet updated amenities, wifi, etc. Meals were fabulous. Oh and the delicious breakfast was included with stay.
Only that we were planning on using Diner's Club card and it was not accepted though claimed on booking.com it was. Not a big deal, just unexpected
We wanted something in Old Montreal this was almost central. We found the staff very efficient and completely bilingual which is better than us.The weather was cold and rainy so rather than the hassle of taxis we ate in most of the time. The dining staff were very good and helpful the prices maybe up a little but the quality was good and the quantity adequate. The breakfast that came with the room cost was also adequate and good. The reception staff was top notch. It is a small old hotel don't look for ultra modern.
