Friendly, helpful staff...especially at the front desk. Great breakfast served beautifully. Fabulous location. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend to other travelers. Thank You!
The staff were very helpful and accomodating.
Great location in historic area. Rooms were lovely (hardwood floors, exposed brick wall, very clean). Breakfast was included in the price. It was served in the restaurant, more choices than we expected and very good. We ate in the restaurant one night: delicious dinner.
That we only had two nights to stay.
the location, the staff and the desserts!
It's a bit noisy, particularly on Friday night and with the work being done on an adjacent street.
Lovely staff and a very enjoyable restaurant. Jonathon, the bartender makes an excellent espresso martini too !
The location is terrific. The staff is excellent. The restaurant can't be beat. All in all , I can't wait to go back,
Location Excellent breakfast
Lovely atmosphere, excellent dining in restaurant. Great location in Old Montreal (can walk everywhere - no need to drive). My wife's maiden name was Bonaparte, so it was a treat for her to stay at an inn having such a distinguished name!
Quiet and comfortable, excellent staff who provided the best breakfast! Located within easy walking distance of many sights, restaurants. Met our needs entirely.
10 minute walk from bus from airport: 15 minute walk to central railway station, both straight forward walks. Our 1st floor room overlooking street was very large and comfortable.
Waiter service breakfast. Although air conditioned, (weak air flow) room was a bit stuffy requiring opening of windows that in turn let in street noise late at night.
A delightful place to base yourself with old Montreal all around you. The room is well-appointed, roomy, and the windows open. The shower is hot and breakfast options abound.
The fact that we had only three days in Montreal!
Walking distance to everything in Old Montreal. Great breakfast, good service. Parking for a fee. Close to metro.
The breakfast that was included was excellent, and of course the staff superb. The room was furnished and decorated very nicely, not your typical hotel room. The staff were very helpful. The hidden secret about Auberge Bonaparte, is the roof terrace that at night, allows a fantastic view of the cathedral with all the lighting!
there was nothing I didn't like. Recommend 100%
Great location, very comfortable room, clean, polite and helpful personnel, qood quality breakfast !!!!
Large and nicely decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. Super-friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Centrally located in Old Town (Vieux Montreal) but still rooms are rather quiet.
spacious room, great breakfast, very friendly staff
location, spacious rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast
Location, staff, service. We were located in the heart of Old Montreal, steps away from wonderful food, the waterfront, and Notre Dame - The staff was without exception, excellent. went out of their way to make our visit more pleasant. The Breakfasts were excellent as well. It was recommended by a friend and we would not be reluctant to make the same recommendation.
If there was a negative, it was the airconditioning. It worked, but had trouble keeping up with the hot spell we experienced while there.
Walking distance to major Old Montreal attractions. Delicious breakfast included. Spacious room with a view of the basilica. Staff was helpful in arranging transportation & accomodated our late check out request.
Location, location, location! Lovely old building into the heart of old town Montreal. The staff were friendly although not overtly so. The answered all travel questions and provided brochures of places to go and things to do. The restaurant staff was warm, friendly and outgoing. As a single traveler they gave me a good table and engaged in conversation. I was remembered each time I returned and was welcomed and treated courteously. I loved the champaign and wine selections. I deferred to the managers wine selection and really enjoyed the quality selected with my dinner. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the lovely white table cloths, candles and old exposed painted walls.
I did not enjoy the food. Breakfast was not good. The overall feeling and taste was one of gimmick over quality. The first morning I ordered scrambled eggs which were runny and served in a limp pastry cup. They came with over greasy, under cooked sausage and bacon. I could eat either. The next morning I ordered an omelette. It too was under cooked. At first I thought it was my American preference for fully cooked eggs. But I have had omelets in France cooked through, light and fluffy. This wasn't one of them. I ordered toast that was good but nothing special about the bread. The condiments of jelly and peanut butter came in those pre packaged containers you would find in a diner. At dinner I ordered the tasting menu. I asked ahead of time if the food would be better off the a la cart menu. I was told it was exactly the same. Too bad. Salad was good, mushroom ravioli delicious but rich, palate cleansing sorbet terrible and the filet over cooked. In fact I would bet the steak was possibly pre cooked to a slight degree. No flavor. I general I would return and try the a la cart menu. However my expectations would be love for the food. I would set back and enjoy the atmosphere and wine. Overall impression they need a new menu( not so big) and a chef.
We liked the location. It was close to the port and in Old Montreal. Based on another review we thought our taxi ride from the ship would be about $5. but the taxi driver charged $10. after seeing $10. in my hand plus he took us the long way around. I tried to show him a map but he would not look at it or listen to me. Thus I recommend that you speak to the driver before getting in. You can walk to the hotel within 10-15 minutes. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. We felt welcome. We arrived early and the staff stored our luggage. When we returned, our luggage was in our beautiful room. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Coffee is available 24 hours a day. A fast computer and printer is available for free. The hotel staff made arrangements for someone to pick us up early the next morning to go to the airport. The car was very nice and the driver was excellent. The charge was $40. and we received a great smile and thank you for our tip. If you are planning on eating at the hotel, you must make reservations. Not only tourists but locals eat at the hotel. The food is excellent.
The bath tub was slippery. You must be very careful while getting in and out of the tub and while taking a shower. A tub mat would help.
Location, clean, staff
They ask for tip at breakfast Room view was to a dark patio
Great location, excellent bar, good breakfast.
Dark room on busy street; it took two requests to get lightbulb replaced; elevator broke down.
Old World with new World Comfort Great Location Excellent Breakfast
