Breakfast was quite good
The WiFi service is very important to me....very poor signal. Kept disconnecting. No parking, even after making a specific request for parking. Bed on wheels so kept moving around. No bedside table 15 inch TV..... Noisy furnace fan would not shut off.
The hotel is a charming and intimate hideaway with wonderful service, room and breakfast. In addition, located in the heart of the old-City!
All of it.
I can't think of a single thing !!
the room was good, location of hotel excellent, the food was excellent wit no junk food options & and the small number of rooms gave a very intimate feel to the place.
Great location in the best part of Montreal. Wealth of restaurants, shops, and places of interest (museums, historical sites, etc.) within walking distance. Our room was as nice, if not nicer, than pictured on the website. Score a + for the friendly staff, a terrific shower (hot water immediately!) and for the continental breakfast.
Parking a bit of an issue and was able to turn on the television but could never get any channels to work.
Convenient location and friendly, very helpful staff. Room was not large, but well equipped.
The bed was a bit firm and bed coverings seemed to be a bit old and in need of replacement. But, such issues were not a significant problem.
Getting into, around and out of Montreal was a nightmare because of construction and traffic. The location of the hotel is great once you get there because you can walk around OldMontreal
An atmospheric, very welcoming little bolt hole, deep in the heart of Old Montreal. Staff interested in their guests and very helpful.
Quaint atmosphere. Wonderful breakfast. Helpful staff. Location was perfect
The bed was a bit hard!
What a pleasant surprise. Everything was so clean and perfect.
Everything was perfect
Everything. Mostly the staff.
Due to my own schedule I couldn't stay longer!
Walkable to all interesting points in Old Montreal. Breakfast continental was fair, coffee was refilled and hot. Strong water pressure for a shower as room had no tub.
Overpriced Hotel website said $179/nite, rate was actually $199/nite, so over a few nites it added up! They refused to honour the posted price saying the they were on High Season and didn't bother to alter website. Also, they don't mention (but other did ) that there is a public bar on the edge of the property which stays in full swing until 3:00 am every night. So, if you are looking to overpay, are willing to have no amenities, try and find a parking spot in a very happening part of the city, and do not intend on sleeping before 3:00 am then this is your hotel.
Great location at one end of Old Montreal neighborhood. Just far enough from the bulk of the restaurants and shops to be quiet and relaxing. It's also set back from the street quite a bit which also helps. The staff was very nice. Room was small but clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was good. We only spent a little time on the terrace but it was a nice location and a great place to relax on a summer night. It was easy to hear our neighbors in the adjoining rooms. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
Located in the heart of Old Montreal! Close to all the activity and restaurants! Very close to the International Fireworks display. Quaint and cozy. Stairways were narrow and bathrooms were small but adequate. Comfy beds. Loved our upstairs room #4 that had a door leading out to a rooftop courtyard!!! Room #5 had a ceiling window with curtains. Breakfast consisted of cold cut meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit salad, bagels, cereal, jams and 3 spreads (egg salad, chicken salad, and spinach), coffee and juice.
The cobblestone streets around this B&B would be difficult for the elderly or handicapped. Auberge had narrow stairways which might be difficult for some.
Friendly Staff Clean and comfortable facilities Breakfast very healthy, european style, no fried sausages, waffles etc... Close to everything in Old Montreal, 5 minutes from the subway, 30 minute walk to St. Catherines shopping and a 2 minute walk to the harbor. This is as close to europe as you can get and still be in North America. We were so relaxed, our 3 day vacation felt like a week. We will be going back......
Went on a busy weekend and there are a number of younger people who liked to come in late and socialize. You can hear talking from the rooms next door, the walls are thin and you can hear creaking and thumping from the rooms above. $2.00 ear plugs fixed the problem.
We loved our room and the attached access to the patio.
At night, the lights in the hallways and stairs are not lit. We had to check out very early to catch our train and if not for the flashlight on my phone, we wouldn't have been able to see walking down the stairs.
location, decor, breakfast, terrace,
Our friends Room had a hiccup on clean linen.
location in Old Montreal!
A charming getaway, steps away from the sites and sounds and flavours of Old Montreal. We loved the secluded patios that let you watch the world go by while lingering over a sumptuous breakfast
Not a thing.
Just a wonderful experience!
The walls were thin, but our neighbors were quiet.
The breakfast was excellent. The room was beautiful. The location was terrific.
Wifi was awful and needs a major upgrade. Parking lot near hotel engages in predatory towing and hotel should warn you about that. They seemed clueless.
No parking. Internet connection was slow.balcony dirty
Great location with friendly staff. Will definitely stay there again on our next visit.
We booked the superior room on the top floor which I think was the most expensive in the hotel. The room was ok but not worth the expense. The view is of the courtyard area behind apartments and a restaurant-pretty ugly actually. The entrance walkway to the hotel was littered with debris. Using a broom or blower on the walk would really have helped that all important first impression. Also the room had only louvered blinds and no curtains so the 5:30 am light was blocked. I would not stay here again.
