“ The size and comfort of the room was excellent. The location was ideal for us: the bike route and Bixys, the adjacent park, the restaurants (especially Spaggias patio on Duluth), the sense of neighbourhood---all made us feel that we were living in Montreal, not just... ”

I am a 'hotel' fan and as I have never been to an 'auberge' and WOW what service. Breakfast included and snacks included ALL DAY! cheese, juices, cookies, muffins a must. STAFF is incredible! Parking is free but a bit of a hassle to find however the staff is very friendly and helps as much as they can!!! :)

The location is ideal in the Plateau area and directly across the street from a spacious park. There was a bit of a mixup btw the price agreed upon by the booking agency and the price we were charged, but it was worked out easily by the friendly staff.

The hotel is very nicely decorated, very clean, in a very nice neighborhood, even though it is distant from the old town. It is about 15 minutes walk from the metro. Breakfast is excellent, very diverse and fresh. Also, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. All in all, good value for your money in montreal. Really enjoyed our stay. A bit distant from the metro, but shouldn't be a problem if you are fit and ready to walk a little bit. Also, it I am not mistaken, there is a bus station right across the street from the hotel, so that should be a convenient way to get around.

We had a room that overlooked the Park, we found it quite comfortable. We enjoyed watching the bicyclist pass by. The breakfast was tasty and had a good selection. The Inn is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful with hints about getting around the city. This was our first time to Montreal and the experience was very pleasant.

Extremely nice and orthcoming staff. Great location in front of a magnificent park. Lots of movement in the area - a paradise for cyclists and joggers. Comfortable room. Good buffet breakfast with a range of choice. Do-it-yourself snacks available all day in the kitchen. Very clean towels and bed linen. Excellent functioning wi fi - much appreciated. (We are repeat guests.) Had to walk up two flights of steep stairs to get to our room. Windows badly neded cleaning on the outside. Room was clean but the corners, under the bed, behind the chair, the tops of light bulbs were all missed in the cleaning process. Not a high enough standard for an expensive auberge. The time has come to freshen up and redecorate the reception area.

The size and comfort of the room was excellent. The location was ideal for us: the bike route and Bixys, the adjacent park, the restaurants (especially Spaggias patio on Duluth), the sense of neighbourhood---all made us feel that we were living in Montreal, not just touristing. The staff and the breakfasts were fantastic. That was more than a "continental" breakfast. I've only had one better, and that was in Verona and more expensive. My only criticism was the air conditioning was sometimes too cold--but the staff quickly responded whenever we complained. We will be recommending Auberge de la Fontaine--and we will be returning.

There is a cozy feel to the Auberge but your privacy is fully respected. I like the scale of the hotel, which contributes to the coziness. I very much like the location and the way the Auberge faces the park but is also very much part of the surrounding neighbourhood. The breakfast is lovely and the breakfast room very pleasant. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. I always sleep well at the Auberge. I feel as if it is a bit over-priced.
