Very nice place with cozy rooms, tasty breakfast, quiet location (across the street from a park). Nearest Metro station is 15 min. walk. Will be coming back to this place and also recommend it.
One thing - there is a central air conditioning system (or so it was in my room) that cannot be controlled drom the room. There is a constant slight noise and the temperature is keept at 22 C all the time.
Felt more like a bed and breakfast! The breakfasts were great and staff were very helpful!
There was a lot of construction right at the door of the hotel, definitely not their fault. While the metro was only a 15 minute walk, after a day of exploring Montreal, the 15 minute walk back was long.
We loved the staff. They were so helpful - especially Mary. We loved the breaksfasts. There's plenty of food and it is all good with lots of choices. The time for breakfast is 7 - 10 which is wonderful for he slower morning people and the late sleepers. We also liked that you could go into the kitchen for snacks whenever you wished. You could also purchase wine - by the glass or bottle - and there were some liquors available, too. It has great charm and the feeling is very homey.
The location is a bit out of the way. The weather we experienced during our stay was unusally cold - 47 - 51 degrees in the middle of September. And one day it rained also. So we had to take lots of taxis which were expensive. If the weather was better, we would have walked to the metro. But there's no way you could walk to the downtown area. It's just too far. Also, they were doing construction right in front of the hotel which was a surprise. Perhaps we should have been told about this in advance.
Accueil très agréable
Un peu vieillot
beautiful park right across the street. breakfast was included and had a great variety of foods. neighbourhood felt safe. had a great balcony off my room.
the whole place needs a paint job and some updating. the road in front of the hotel is completely torn up. parking is near impossible to find except at the park. smell of the building is old.
Clean and good location.
Total lack of parking. Unacceptable.
Quaint facility. Great location across from the park. Helpful and courteous staff (including a call about an item forgotten in the room before we even left the vicinity!).
The room was actually a bit small for 4 adults. Beds were ok, considering one of the two was a pull out.
great rooms clean, modern, staff could not be more helpful, real good breakfast, glass of wine in the lobby, nice rooftop picnic area, just a real pleasant place.
No elevator fair amount of stairs.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is a dream and the Auberge itself lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plus the breakfast was excellent. We shall definitely be using this as our Montreal accommodation in the future.
The stairs to the first and second floors are steep so if one has older knees, consider requesting a ground floor room.
kitchen plus room fridge are very useful staff is friendly, bends over backwards great neighbourhood
Just a couple of suggestions, not complaints: Soap dispensers are impossible to squeeze with older hands. The dispensers are also unsanitary. Fridge was in the closet - no place left to hang clothes! It took two of us to haul it out of there and find a place to plug it in.
Very helpful and personable staff.
sorry my english is not very and i can't answer at this question easily.
Cozy b and b with super friendly and pleasant staff. Good location and so accessible by car. No problem! Parking for free literally 2 feet away from the back entrance! Delicious and free breakfast in am with snack room open all day! Love this place will definitely return!
Only one bar nearby which sucked (lab) but strip of restos not a far walk away. Not much to complain about!
Beautiful park view out the windows, no problem finding free street parking, delicious and varied breakfast, easy walking within Plateau
Room was a little small, but definitely serviceable.
we were able to have breakfast at 6.45am
no soap in the shower
