Good location, great service, friendly bi-lingual staff, excellent room. Couldn't have asked for more.
Friendly, helpful staff and great location near the metro station and lots of restaurants and bars.
No lift, but fortunately I was on the second floor.
The staff was helpful. The location was Good. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a lovely rooftop deck where we ate breakfast. Parking was affordable. Free breakfast was convenient.
There is no elevator so we had to walk up several flights of stairs with our luggage.
Unclean room, disturbing fridge making 15 minutes noise every hour, waking you every hour, poor pre-fab breakfast limiting what you can eat (and I am a small eater), saying "1 croissant, 1 yoghurt, ...).
Friendly and helpful staff.
3 floors of stairs
Breakfast was great. It was nice to be able to meet so many other travelers and hear what they were up to. The location was also good — just a few blocks from some great bars and restaurants.
After looking for hours we finally found an opening very late (10PM) possibly because there had been a cancellation. We were unable to check in until after midnight, which seemed to upset the host and made our stay awkward. It would be good if the hosts added some kind of time limit for same-night check-ins in order to prevent other travelers from having a similar experience.
I liked the jacozi in the roof top with loud music and also how everything is around you, no need for transportations and finally the room was big enough to fit 3 people
I hated how we have to check in at 3pm even if you come early, and how you hve to pay extra for guess per night, and how every time you want to go to the jacuzzi you hve go to recipient for a key, and they close it at 9pm
Good location, close to variety of restaurants and to Metro station. Fresh fruit salat in the morning and another fruits.
The rooms oriented to the street are noisy, but have a nice view.
Easy access to many great shops, restaurants and pubs/bars. Rooftop hot tub and in room jacuzzi
Parking is kind of a pain
Location is very useful for being in doen town of Montreal , 100 meter to subway station and full of eating facility , enough ithemes in breakfast .
The building of Hotel is too old and inside decoration is out . Near my room was huge sound of disel engine motor and it bothered me.
No elevator. And this wasn't made clear in the hotel's description. Our room had only one window and that was onto a narrow air shaft. Breakfast was fine at the beginning of the week, but they must have bought all of their croissants and muffins on Monday and then not replenished them. They got increasingly mushy and stale as the week went on. Tables were not cleared and cleaned.
The Auberge is fantastic--all of our favourite shops and restaurants are just steps away, as is the Metro. We loved oour balcony as well. Perfection--we will be going back
My partner and I were extremely pleased with the hotel. We arrived very late at night, around 2 am. The hotel doesn't look like much at all from the street but it is very quaint and modern looking inside. The concierge surprised us by offering to upgrade us to a loft room as opposed to the regular economy room. The loft room turned out to be essentially a bachelor apartment equipped with a kitchenette and back patio. It was amazing. Very affordable and excellent location. We will only be staying here when we visit Montreal in the future.
Great location, close to lively St. Laurent, great cafes, restaurants, and bars, and metro station--all within walking distance. We went to other neighborhoods and just kept coming back to this one--very cool vibe to it. Service was great and everyone was friendly.
Our room had a window that looked out into a brick shaft. There was no sunlight whatsoever. You'll never know what time of day it is. I would ask for a room facing St Denis. Also, the carpets in the hall are overdue for a cleaning.
Everything e.g. fabulously comfortable bed, great shower, great location for city centre and airport bus, mini kitchen, nice check in staff. Fab creperie next door.
Helpful staff and great breakfast included!
The room doesn't look completed - the tiling in the bathroom looks messy and unprofessional. But bathroom is still clean and serviceable.
Our room was very clean and comfortable.
The staff could have been more helpful with the parking in the area and given better directions to banks, restaurants, etc.
Newly renovated rooms, loft room very large and comfortable, nice breakfast area
Checkin took forever, must pay in full before seeing room, room mixup - reserved room not available, rooms in different buildings, standard room very small
Great location fantastic food all around. The room was airy. I did feel a bit like I was in and ikea showroom.
The hotel had extra charges for us and blamed booking.com. We ended up paying an extra $50/night. We paid for parking and twice another car was in our spot. I don't know where the truth lies, but it put a damper on our stay.
Super comfy bed. Good shower. Loved the balcony. Location. Staff.
Stairs. Perhaps staff to help with suitcases?
Loved the location, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and everything was clean. Budget room-- very compact but comfortable and everything needed was there. Summertime-- so we were able to enjoy the rooftop and our balcony. Continental breakfast-- nothing fancy but fresh and fresh baked.
Close to the Metro and many great restaurants.
I found the stairs tough after each days of walking all over the city.
Very friendly staff and comfortable bed, clean sheets and comfy pillows. Great little shared balcony off of the room looking onto the park. Nice spot to watch to sunset with wine and cheese before heading out for the evening. Also the convenience could not be matched; Bixi bikes right outside the door and metro across the street. The bus back to the airport was just a short walk away. Don't let the non-descript entrance fool you...this is a fantastic place to stay.
Loved it all!
Bed was comfortable. Bixi station right on the corner. Cab station across the street. Walking distance to lots of stuff.
Internet speed was terrible. Slightly noisy hallway. Can hear people walking by door.
The bed and linens were very comfortable. Great location!
The bathroom door did not shut properly/at all and the room was over-priced; we were charged double occupancy on top of a double room price and for parking. Too many additional charges.
