Auberge du Presbytère de Rivière-Éternité was very clean and comfortable. I felt at home. It had a communal kitchen in which we made dinner, which was a nice way to save money. They also served freshly baked croissants in the morning. The location is quite close to Saguenay Park.

    Nothing.

Wanted to see the Saguenay Fjord National Park - within 5 minutes or so of park entrance. Had a food truck parked outside as well as a SAQ (alcohol) and gas station for emergency food and drinks. Picnic tables and Adirondack chairs by the river were there. Wi-Fi was excellent; was able to stream Netflix without problem. Accommodations were very basic, but was cheaper than and obviously way better than a campsite or expensive cabin rental. Breakfast was tasty each morning and the owner was there to make sure you got what you needed. Full kitchen is available and we used it to make a big dinner. If you think of it as a campsite alternative (hard to haul a bunch of camping stuff from the USA), you'll likely be satisfied.

Even though it's clear that the bathroom is shared, it's just inconvenient to sometimes have to wait an hour to urinate because people are in the shower! There is only one bathroom for, I believe, three rooms on the 2nd floor. Would be nice to just have another 1/2 bath somewhere or even a Port-o-Potty outside - I'd take it! Room had no air conditioning either - one of the days it was like 80 degrees in there even though the region isn't particularly warm. While it wasn't a huge deal for us because my French is passable, the owners really don't speak a lick of English (typical for Saguenay area so I've heard), so just be aware when you book. Not much else to do around there at night; we went to Chicoutimi (1 hr away) to whoop it up.

Absolute cleanliness, super friendly staff, comfortable bed (in the suite room), free access to huge clean kitchen, fridge and freezer, wifi, fresh air, access to extraordinary unbelievable walking paths, clean bathroom, French breakfast included and on and on.

Not much to complain about. Maybe access to potable water from private bathroom taps (there a potable water dispenser in the kitchen), really, this place is an oasis for the traveller.

    The employees were very welcoming.

The breakfast was less than minimal.
