The location and breakfast were excellent.
Room 22 was over the bar, which had loud music until 11:00 pm and later.
The view; the restaurant; the staff
Great location, lots of history, art, music, shopping, sight seeing all within walking distance of the Auberge. Great food esp. Breakfast at Auberge.
Difficult to park to check-in to Auberge.
Nice bath. Nice location.
Small room. No coffee. Old mattress. Noisy
Ease of access to transportation, and sight seeing.
Parking was difficult.
Accesible to all old Quebec city. Tour buses just one step away. Excellent nearby restaurants at walking distance.
No elevator. It was burdensome carrying luggage up the stairs.
Hotel and staff were excellent. Very walkable to everywhere. Loved the very modern shower. : )
No easy access to coffee in the morning. : (
In the main square so easy access to all major tourist attractions. Quiet at night.
Bed only a double and not very comfortable.
This hotel is in the center of everything you want to see- turist info is right next to hotel. Bus tour starts in front the hotel same as gondola to the lower town . Taxi stand is also in front the hotel.Pillard caffe is close to the hotel too.
location, admin, bathroom
room size, bed, carpet, window, lots of noise
location; breakfast; helpfulness and friendliness of the reception and restaurant staff (except for one desk person); ambience; quaint older building; decor delightful with scenic murals on corridor walls; comfortable bed
NO HOT WATER--only luke warm after running for minutes; no electric kettle for tea/coffee; TV too small; inadequate toiletries for two and not replenished for second day; older people (I'm borderline) would have problems carrying luggage up and down stairs --night reception clerk (a young energetic woman) graciously offered to help and did carry my partner's luggage up a flight of stairs); signage to reception could/should be more noticeable
Location Comfort of Rooms Friendly, knowledgeable staff
No parking in immediate vacinity
Loved the location and value for money.
the location was great and staff were wonderful and very helpful
Noisy just above dining room for early morning sleep. We were awakened before 6 with noise. Although it can't be helped for business, it was uncomfortable for rest.
Excellent location with a manageable price. Small rooms but quaint decor suitable to the old city. Staff (Nadia) was exceptionally accommodating and friendly.
Stairs are steep for older people but that goes along with the character of the historical setting.
the staff and the location were excellent would stay there again
location, staff and amenities
small rooms, carpet very old and in need of replacement, odours from restaurant on first floor of hotel.
This inn has a great location in the heart of Old Quebec. The staff were friendly and helpful. I moved hotels part way through my stay in Quebec and Auberge du Tresor kept my bags for me until I could check in. The staff stays (sleeps) at the inn throughout the night, so someone is able to help even after hours. Rooms were clean and had very charming modern but simple decoration. We had two rooms while staying here. Our room with a view had a spa shower but the bathroom in the non-view room was more standard. We stayed over a weekend and the room with a view (which looks out over the square) was nicer but loud, as there was evening live music outside. While the other room had no view, it was very dark and quiet. This is a great charming inn!
The wireless internet is spotty. That being said, we were still able to use it for basic needs. The room did not come with breakfast (it was for an additional fee) even though there is a restaurant downstairs.
Everything was enough sufficient, we'll make a choice to this hotel for our future journeys to Quebec, simply fantastic to say something briefly describeb in one word
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room and view was amazing. The only thing I would say that the rooms need is a small coffeemaker, especially for the early birds. Saying this I would recommend this hotel to anyone - definitely will be returning there.
no coffee maker - but it was no big deal
It is a good location. Right in the Middle of downtown. The hotel is clean, well kept, friendly staff.
The parking. Extremely difficult to find. Need a better system.
-Location -Very nice bathroom, small but practicle. -Overall cleaness. -Staffs are very helpful and nice.
-Bed is too small. -Wish we could do the late checkout. 11 am is kinda too early. -3pm would be better for checking in.
We loved the character of the place and absolutely nothing could beat the location. New double glazed windows kept out all the night noises. King size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was impressively modern. Breakfast downstairs was delicious.Definitely our kind of place.
Showers: only hot water- no cold water (room23) Room28: no hot water. Booth roofs: doors are to hard to open and close are too tight and make noise To many stairs Parking too far For all these reasons = too expansive
We liked our view of Frontenac from our hotel window and the location. There's a cafe/restaurant at the hotel with outdoor seating. Having breakfast outside each day was a treat! And the breakfast was VERY substantial. Alexandra at the front desk was especially helpful with all of our questions and everyone at the hotel was willing to help us with directions and suggestions as well.
Carpeted hallways and room were dark and seemed dirty or old. Minor touch ups needed on doors and doorjams and staircase to give more polished kept-up look.
