Overall it was a great stay. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and courteous. The location, in Old Montreal, was perfect. We were able to walk to almost all of the places to which we wanted to go. The facility itself is quite charming.
Very minor issues: TV remote didn't work particularly well; no ice bucket in room; some towels were not replaced; and, breakfast food/service was a bit careless on occasion. None of these issues were worth complaining to the staff about, however.
The perfect blend of modern convenience and antique charm.
I would have preferred easier access to an exercise facility.
Location close to restaurants, historical and cultural attractions; service was awesome; the concierges were most helpful in deciding what to see and where to go.
nice design, old stracture, great location, great breakfast although pay atention whats included and whats not
low water presure
Food was excellent. Service the same. Building was beautiful.
Great place to stay. Already telling people they have to stay here when they visit Montreal.
The staff was the pest part. Then the comfort.
Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Great location, helpful staff and a clean/comfy room. Doesn't get any better!
needed qtips cotton balls etc in bathroom
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was our second time and we will be back. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
Superb hotel overall. Location is central to old town restaurants and pubs. Room was quite lovely and unique, with wood and brick. Very homey yet modern. Staff could not be more cordial.
The room was terribly hot, couldn't open the window. Staff was friendly and provided a fan but it still felt hot and stuffy. Too bad, because otherwise we really loved the hotel, breakfast and staff.
The feeling as you step into the hotel is a cozy boutique hotel with staff who are happy and ready to serve you. No long waits or snooty reception. There was a tangerine scent that led you to your room. The Gaspar Bar where you enjoy breakfast and cocktails is lovely - one of my favourite attributes. The rooms are not huge, but the stone walls and simple stylish feel is welcoming. The beds feel like you are on a cloud - I slept so well!
For the price I feel like the lobby could have been a bit more impressive.
beautiful room with high ceilings, and exposed stone walls.very comfortable.
no cereals, yoghurt,or fruit for breakfast.choice a little restrictive.
Staff were very pleasant and acvodstingi
The staff was absolutely wonderful in every way. The accommodations were fabulous. You can't go wrong with this place. Enjoy
All had. Totally recommend this hotel. Nothing negative.
Slept late in great bed, rose to delicious hot breakfast (think eggs Benedict and chocolate croissants), fortified to take on Montreal. Helpful suggestions from desk, and R. St. Paul had every kind of food wished for. Room was architecturally fascinating and beautifully decorated.
That our stay was only 3 nights.
Our room was incredibly noisy. It faced the street on the first floor and the noise of traffic passing all night prohibited sleep.
The staff was amazing very accommodating. If you get a street room the crowds in the restaurants and bars can be quite noisy at times. The free breakfast is wonderful you get to order from the menu and you have a bar you can choose from with WONDERFUL "croissants" fruit, cereal and juice. The location is and peccable. It's a small hotel and they know your name and know your face and they help me with getting you reservations touring etc.whatever you may need. You cannot go wrong by staying at this hotel!!!
The rooms that face the street Are a bit noisy from the crowds going into the restaurant shops and bars below. The one small elevator can be very slow at times.
Traditional French Canadian, attentive staff. Excellent location
The staff was incredible! So helpful, personable and always aware of you and what they could do to make your day better. Location in Old Town couldn't be better!
Words cannot express how amazing this hotel is, the rooms, the staff the bed...... I have been to 5 start hotels all over the world and this is my top 3 choice. It does not get better than this....
location friendliness of staff quality of bed
stuffiness of room had to ask for luggage rack 24-7 tea station never had hot water egg dishes offered at breakfast are gargantuan one lift in high demand
The room was small for the cost. Take the bigger room and not the view.
The staff was well trained, friendly and sophisticated. They were always quietly in the background and ready to assist when needed. The moment I saw the room I was in love with it. Incredible old world design with some modern touches in the bath. Location was perfect for touring, shopping, and dining. HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
Location, friendly staff, good breakfast
The weather...but not the hotel's fault!
