Staff was excellent, restaurant was also good, great breakfast.
Friendly staff, good location
Under staffed. Slow elevator, Odd architecture
Attentive and charming staff, perfect location.
Housekeeping lacked...washroom dusty and counters were not wiped during our two night stay. Disappointing in this quaint hotel.
Free breakfast menu was limited..no bread other than plain white or wheat. No cheese. Everything was extra.
Charming place and excellent staff no doubt !!!!! Their bed are more than comfortable amazing for the quality of sleep
elevator really slow and not convenient-you have to take the stairs in order to access the 5th floor- no changing space for baby in the main floor bathroom-
Location, staff, quaint, historical, overall very pleasant and will return.
Train woke us up :)
the room atmosphere , wood beams , the terrace bar , and the friendliness of the staff, the location . the Old timer style
the' jacuzzi did not stop working after we used it , and the safe was out of order... The room windows needing for sure a clean up...
The beds were comfortable, the view from our room of port was good and the staff generally very helpful and friendly
Breakfast served after one hour on week day was a game breaker
rooms were beautiful, and staff was VERY attentive and service-oriented. restaurant breakfasts were pretty good, and location was also pretty good -- right in the heart of a very touristy area, which had its pluses and minuses, but very convenient to everything.
TV was difficult to use -- no user guide, so couldn't find channels. which was important on the one rainy day of the trip... single SLOW elevator, which i guess is to be expected in a repurposed commercial building from the late 1800s/early 1900s. it was a pain, but the rest of the ambience made up for it. location, as noted, had pluses and minuses. perhaps a little too touristy on rue du st-paul (behind the hotel), but very, very convenient.
Location, location, location Breakfast. Outstanding! Staff in hotel and restaurant were the best. No attitudes, just may I help you. I pick the hotel without knowledge of location. I hit the jackpot.
Not a location for persons with disability. More hand rails would help.
Spiders and spider webs.
Nice room with large windows looking out into the streets of Old Montreal.
Location Rooftop terrace Room design - classy Bed is very comfortable Breakfast included is delicious Valet service and staff are wonderful
Room over St-Paul St was noisy until middle of the night due to it being a long weekend with many events going on.
Outstanding breakfast. Extremely accommodating staff. Excellent location.
The room and bathroom have a generous space and they have great furnishing and upgrades
Staff was more than helpful; very friendly ; breakfast was great.
$30.00 a night for parking Wi-Fi rarely worked in the room or common areas except the restaurant. It kept cutting out... ended up walking around the room or hotel looking for a signal.
The employees are excellent! They provided outstanding service! the rooms are comfortable and the showers are great!
We wanted to see the fireworks from the rooftop and they were going to charge us $25 per person in addition to consumption. They should have instead a minimum charge for consumption for guests of the hotel.
An enjoyable 4 nights at the Auberge. A lovely historic building with an understated contemporary renovation. The rooms are narrow, but well appointed and very comfortable. The food is very good and 'included breakfasts' are generous. Staff is extremely helpful. The location is in a culturally rich area. We used only mass transit and was very workable. However, if you are doing most of your business downtown and only using mass transit you will find commutes a little lengthy.
Great hotel in a wonderful location. Would recommend and would go back!
Wifi in the room was a little spotty but good in all other areas.
Service was excellent especially Fred.
For 300$ per night we expected more, not less. They charged hotel guests 25$ to watch the Montreal fireworks from their rooftop patio. Should have been included in the room rate...........
Loved the location. We had a beautiful room. The bed was so comfortable. Just loved it.
the Wi-Fi was terrible and is a necessity for me
Couldn't have picked a better location. Wonderful views of the port. Don't miss out on the rooftop terrace for a fantastic view. Every staff member at the Auberge du Vieux Port gave outstanding service. Michael at the front desk was superb. Location made this 4 day trip easy to enjoy, as there are countless restaurants and walking the town was a pleasure... no need for a car!Should you choose a river view, I'd suggest you make sure the room is at least on the 3rd floor and up... we were on 2nd floor and the tree tops did block the river view. Hope you enjoy your stay ... we certainly did!!!
The water view. We were able to watch the fireworks display from our room. Awesome shower!!!!
The fact that we had to stand up to see that water view because of the high window.
The location was fantastic, the room was beautiful, the bed and bathroom were heavenly, the staff were very helpful.
One of the only down points was the valet damaged our car, however the general manager took care of the damage and had our car ready by check out the next morning.
