Five minutes from the bus/train station. Not far from the old town and the port too.
There is no breakfast, only if you find something in the "free" box in the kitchen! The boss is unfriendly. The prize is not the same like in the ad. :-( There is also a pub downstairs: this, and the street is extremely noisy on weekend nights!! You can pay plus 2 dollars if you'd like to leave your backpack here after the check out. That was the only one unfriendly place in Canada - all the other backpeckers hotels are good, cheap, clear and friendy - except this one... :-(((
The position waa good
I paid 90$ per night, so i was expecting a bit more. When i checked in, the bed was still undone from the previous guest...so the guy just took away the sheets and brought me a new set...so i'm left wondering if they cleaned the room at all....there was a big carpet covering the floor and it didn't look clean at all + a very dusty and dirty sofa in the corner. There was no wifi in my room, soi had to take a stoll in the corridor or down the stairs to use internet....the bathroom is really small (the sink is in the shower) but looked better then the room
It was cheap and the owner was nice. I stayed at a single room (but the room somehow had 3 beds: a single, a double bed, and a sofa bed); the room was clean and large.
the bed was hard and was not comfortable (I needed to place blankets underneath to sleep well)
Check in only from 3pm to 9pm. The stairs are steep. Rooms are very small. It is not clean.
Great location! only a small walk to old Quebec, train station, port,... Shops are also close by. Small place under the hostel is not too expensive.
There is a lack of facilities, f.e. only 2 showers per floor (of which one does not have a lock nor a sink and is thus almost useless). It could use some renewing. The bar across the street plays very loud music and has noisy customers standing on the pavement at night, very difficult to get some sleep.
I won't be back here. That's it.
The hostel was close to the old town and to the train station. The two terraces are great.
The bathrooms are small, but as in any other hostel
Very friendly staff. Good value for the price!
Blankets for my bed were clean.
Manager was just really rude, and had a dog that would snap at my friends and the atmosphere just made us really uncomfortable..
Staff friendly and helpful. Good location close to bus and train station.
Well below the standards of the Hostelling International hostels I have stayed at from Montreal, Halifax, Vancouver, and other Canadian cities. A library/reading room would be nice.
A common room was awesome. A perfect atmosphere for a lone traveler to make new friends.
No free breakfast (it is said on Booking.com that they offer free breakfast).
The staff in the hostel were nice. The owner does have a dog but it wasn't bad. The kitchen was ok but a bit cold. The showers weren't a 100% cleaned but when needed, the place was vacumed, the toilets scrubbed, thr laundry done, etc. it looks like staying at a cabin and homey. It was around a 15-20minute walk to Québec city but you have cafe, restaurants, the bus and groceries stores close.
I would prefer it be a bit cleaner and could use some minor upgrades.
Unfriendly staff, dirrty kitchen and washrooms, the shower smelled really bad, the dog of the owner was all the time angry. I wouldnt stay there anymore.
Location and price were good
Very noisy due to nightclub opposite. Felt very much like living in a student house
Dirty, staff impolite, no enough space, no enough bathrooms
Friendly staff although busy still had time for a chat and to help with where and what to do.Relaxed, comfortable environment. Super clean. 10 mins walk to old city and about 6 mins from central station. Imogen is such a lovely staff member. She loves her job and made our stay really pleasant. Thank you
The proximity to everything - night life, shopping, dining. They had a very attractive girl working down in the reception.
