Easy to find, set back from the road that leads to the ferry. The house is very nicely furnished, clean and bright with gardens that lead down to the lakeside. Hosts were most welcoming and helpful. They booked us a whale watching trip for the following day which picked us up from the front door and brought us back afterwards. Also....one of the best Hotel/B and B breakfasts that we have had in a long time.

Occasionally a bit noisy with lorries from the ferry but otherwise fine.

We traveled with a group of friends and we all found this place to be perfect for us. A great location, wonderful hosts and an enjoyable outdoor space on a beautiful lake. Walkable to all restaurants and shops.

Close to busy road by ferry crossing so noisy at times but well insulated inside

The location is perfect; near the ferry dock on the main road. It's a short walk to the tourist traps and milling crowds of Tadoussac. Behind the auberge are extensive lawns and a beautiful lake for swimming or using the complimentary kayaks. Rooms, including spacious bathrooms, are spotless and very well appointed. The breakfast is ample and delicious. Service is impeccable.

Room #1 is actually a small room with only the bed, plus a smaller enclosed porch which is the sitting area. The very noisy portable air conditioner can only cool one or the other at any one time. This room only should be avoided.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were ample and had everything. The grounds were fantastic for taking a quiet stroll down to the lake and even having a swim.

The bathroom in our chalet was very small and the washstand was in the room - just a little cramped.

the detail to breakfast each morning, balanced and very yummy and all is done without dishes clinging. Everything at that hotel is spotless and attention is given to everyone with a smile and positive attitude.

The fact that it is located on the main road, makes it a bit difficult to leave patio/window opened at night.

I liked everything about this B&B. The location was terrific. The property included a lawn with a scattering of trees leading down to a lake that was good for swimming and kayaking. Maison Gagne was in walking distance to the town and harbor of Tadoussac. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Claire was so very welcoming.

Nothing to dislike. Only that I couldn't stay for a month.

    - Delicious breakfast!!! - friendly staff - good location - design of the house - Victorian Style - small balcony - the lobby room it's very cozy - great music whole the day - access to the lake - tickets for whale watching - free parking

    - I didn't expect the sink in the sleeping area - it's very close to the highway and you might hear the trucks in the night

People in the whole town were very nice. The scenery is breath taking. The place secludes you from the hustle and bustle of the city. Crossing on a ferry was a different experience also, let alone the whale watching.

We cannot recall anything that I did not like.

Our host and hostess were remarkable - enthusiastic and helpful. In spite of what has been said in other reviews, there was no problem with noise. Great value for money.

The staff was excellent. When they found out that we had accidentally booked the wrong date, they were quick to find us a room...which was beautiful...and clear up the problem with Booking.com. Room was clean, well decorated, and even had a front enclosed porch that we could set on and relax...in our room. The breakfast was delicious and generous.

    We liked it all.

Wonderful inn next to a lake. The inn was very quaint and incredibly clean. The breakfast is not buffet style, instead they give you a plate with some meat, egg, yogurt, fruit, toast, croissant, cheese; all very delicious. The staff speaks English, and were very helpful. They will even book the whale watching tour for you.

Close to the highway, so it gets loud in the morning when the trucks go by.

The staff is VERY friendly, very courteous, the small houses are really nice and cute, the location is good (you have a lake next to the small houses)

The very early checking of 11am. If it was around 2pm it would have been better, since we went on a cruise there and needed to put all our stuff and change later in the car instead.

The staff were extremely helpful and really went out of their way for us. The Auberge has an amazing back garden which leads down to a lake where you can use the canoes that they provide. There are also bikes available too. And the breakfasts are wonderful.

We stayed in the pavillion in the garden, and for us the decor was too fussy
