Lovely updated room with double bed. Nice bathroom all updated. Good breakfast & coffee too.
All the necesary facilities. Polite staff. cleaneliness.
Shower would be small for 250lbs+ person.
Nice welcoming Listen to your request Good stay
3usd télécommunication fée otherwise this is fine
The location suited us as it was out of the main traffic area. Found a gem of a restaurant nearby, La Girolle.
Internet connection was only fair and basement room a little claustrophobic.
Very friendly staff, small but nice room and easy to find - good location for us with a car. Breakfast was a nice little buffet.
A nice little hostel with a good atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff.
The hosts were very kind and clean. The rooms are adequate for the price and clean. For Quebec is better than others. 2 nights are more than enough
The breakfast and the noise from the street
Close to old town, on bus line, clean, more than a continental breakfast, easy to get experience from other travelers during breakfast, value for money, friendly office staff.
Our basement room had a really small bathroom, no hanging space and no cross ventilation. Could be a problem on during high temperatures.
A young guy at the front desk helped us to get a doctor we needed....Location good
Room very small...Bathroom very tight..Shower you almost fitted in...Internet service on and off constantly .Day before leaving out completely. .Dining room very small
Home away from home
Friendly staff, easy access to Old City by Bus (800 & 801 - 3.25 CAD) . Bus Stop 2 min away.
Good value for money Excellent bus service into the old city Pleasant staff Clean rooms
Great place, with a friendly staff in a calm and good location (not in the city centre, but one can get there very easily by bus).
Wi-fi didn't work well while we were there.
We stayed there for 2 nights. The location is on the bus route so park your car in the hotel & just hop on the bus and in 10 min. you are in the happening place. Free parking. The owners are nice. Next time, I will pay little more money and stay at Hotel for comfort.
Rooms are very small. washroom is tiny. you can barely stand in shower. Sink is in the bedroom. Room is small. you can hardly move in especially if you have luggage. No coffee in the room. After checking in, we have to drive to Tim Horton to grab a coffee. Breakfast
I liked the B&B atmosphere and the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. Bus will reliably get you to within 20 minutes (incl. walking to the nearest bus stop).
1. Location is far from the center, but OK, as there's a frequent bus to the center. You can use the same bus to get to the Montmorancy Falls outside the city, that's very convenient. 2. Breakfast is simple but OK.
1. The room (215) was not big, and the in-room bathroom is so small you cannot close the bathroom door. 2. The room faces the main street and as the Quebec City authorities prohibit the use of air conditioner blocks facing on the streets, you have no AC in this room. The hotel provides a mobile AC, and it makes too much noise. You can not switch it off, as the window does not open, so if you need some air to breathe (I'm sure everybody needs!) you have to listen to the noise. I used earplugs. 3. Steep stairs. The hotel is OK if you stay several nights, but I would not recommend it. Though, I have nothing to compare with in Quebec City, maybe the other ones are even worse.
The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was always kept neat and clean. You don't have the overwhelming feeling you get with the larger hotel chains. It has a much more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere where you can really breathe. The larger hotel chains always make you feel like you have to be in business dress and you never really feel quite at home there. This was quite cozy, friendly, and comfortable.
The internet dropped off sometimes but I think that was due to the severe weather warnings (thunderstorms) that occurred while we were there.
bathroom was good and clean. breakfast was poor
first night I could not sleep, there was bed bugs in the bed. I told the owner that I will leave in the 7 morning and he changed my room. they checked the room and found bed bugs. The second room was good.
Easy access to the city center (by bus)
A little bit to noisy (close to a road) - hard to e.g. watch TV, listen to the music, but when sleep no problem
Location, price, facilities,
good, easy going , very neat, no bad odors, the AC works silently, the shower works well no fuss, free parking lot and the bus stop going down town at 10 meters.
The french petit déj (break fast) is not adequate but the coffee was good...
Nice owner, good location and good breakfast. Excellent value in an expensive city.
Friendly staff, very quiet, very clean, simple breakfast but good. A little far from old town but with the frequent bus, no problem.
The mattress is just soso.
Close to the City accessible by car or bus. Friendly staff. A/C came in handy.
Very uncomfortable bed.
Proximity to city centre, quiet in room (double-glazed windows) shielding noise from main road. Parking availability.
Only one young man to do housekeeping for 8 rooms - a bit to much for one person, thereby compromising cleaninless.
