Good price, good staff, good breakfast and good location to old town.
Better to provide at least a rug in each room and help to remove dirt from outside.
Accomodating staff and the room with a kitchenette and private washroom was a great deal! Arrive early to breakfast and the croissants are perfect :)
Room smelled odd as some said, but not in a gross way. More like industrial cleaner.
The staff was helpful and professional.
It was a little bit cold, even with the heating. The window was not well insulated
Very friendly staff with a sense that you're "part of the family". The owner had given us a room that wasn't cleaned yet, but after asking what we can do, he immediately switched our rooms - no questions asked. The room was small but very cozy. Great location! On St-Denis with restos, bars and loads of people - making the night life particularly fun! And next to Berri metro too!
You can hear people talking down the hallway from our room so if you want some "alone time" - you might want to keep it down. Breakfast was included but was mediocre at best.
The staff, breakfast and location!
Can't beat the prime location you get with for that price. Close to everything and the neighborhood is great. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. No complaints!
The staff was very friendly, ensuring that we had a map and pointing us to tourist sites and other places of interest. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome treat you very seldom find. We would definitely visit again in the future.
The temperature in the room could have been warmer as Montreal was experiencing quite a freezing period and coming home to a bit more warmth would have been welcome.
Well-located. Near BERRI-UQAM metro stop. Clean.
WiFi spotty in rooms.
There was a problem with my credit card processing and I had to have my sister wire me money and the Woman at the desk was so understanding and allowed me to rest comfortably in my room while I waited for my funds! Everyone was so nice and everything was so comfortable and affordable!
The staff were friendly. It is a great location but not at -15C. Not much wandering in the depths of winter.
It is a dorm room - 2 murphy beds-one of which occupied the entire space from wall to wall. No space to walk around the bed. Very small bathroom -inches between sink and shower. You must be very thin to get past the sink and into the tiny shower. Toilet broke after 1st flush. Lots of stairs, no lift. A bit like a rabbit warren. I had to leave early and they would not refund my last night.
Hotel close to Montreal Chinatown and Old Montreal.
Room service staff so so.
The location is exactly on one of the two centers to go out in the night (St Dennis/St Laurent). The people are super nice.
There was a weird smell in the rooms (I tried 2). It could be a bad choice of refreshner, not sure... You get used to it after some hours.
Very Clean Calm Good location Fairly cheap
Few options in breakfast A little bit cold (heaters were weak for -22)
A little bit of an awkward smell.
Receptionist was friendly and helpful. However, staff only cleaned the room one day.
WIFI in room didn't work my entire trip despite several complaints. No extra blankets provided and heat set to very low temperature for Montreal winter. No hot water worked in the shower. Breakfast was very bare bones. Room quality was low for the money - felt like a college dorm room and very drab. Not like normal modern hotel.
it has a really strange smell like you are in a zoo...
noisy neighbours above my room no laundry facility
We stayed in a double room. It was clean and well laid out. The location was amazing and the room was very quiet. I will be staying here again in the future as will my friends.
A bit of a squeez to get into the shower if you are a large person.
Room was so small There is no elevator It is hard to get 3 th and 4th floors
spacious room close to everything breakfast
Friendly staff. Clean room. Very accommodating and helpful staff who allowed us to park in their spot since we had an infant and it was snowing hard. Breakfast was not much but their croissant was delicious
> very helpful staff with adequate english > thoroughly equipped rooms for the price and my expectations > perfect location > fairly new and fresh furnishings, the place is not old or in disrepair > lots of varied common space > pretty good breakfast for free
> for the money and my expectations based on other similar properties in the area, really have no complaints!
Price was good , good location for walking to McGill neighborhoods and restaurants.
Shared super small bathroom with whole floor. Dirty towels , mold in bathroom. Noise outside from club down the street on a monday night.
Staff We booked two rooms for two couples and upon arrival only one had been reserved. They found us a second room at the same rate which we were pleased with. Within two hours one of the members of our group received news that a family member was in critical condition and in the hospital in Ottawa and they had to leave immediately. We asked for a refund on the room which had not been used at all and were informed that as they could not re-rent the room no refund would be given.
