noisy bathroom not so clean

Kind Staff, excellent location, excellent price.

The shared bathroom was not very clean.

The auberge is really well located. Straight on St-Denis, walking distance from Berri-UQAM metro ans St-Catherine St. Surrounded by plenty of restaurants, bars and stores

There were hairs in the bed, barely no heating in the room. The 4th floor bathroom would use some upgrading There was cold air coming fron the window. Front room noisy due to the bars around. Biggest bummer: the reception clerk couldn't speak French

The auberge was right in the middle of the action. It was a great time and it was a very fair price

The room. Almost all the breakfast food. The guy for the servis in the morning is very kind. The man the service in the morning is very kind.

Old building with character. Other guest were friendly. Location was great.

Parking was difficult due to snow. Ended up paying $45 for overnight parking. Bathroom was not very clean and the window in our room didn't shut all the way even though it was winter in Canada.

Generally a good experience

Lobby regularly smelt like fried fish, staff was often frying fish, although there seemed to be no exhaust and no menu. They didn't seem to care that it stank up half the hotel.

Comfortable spacious room with on suite bath. It was modern and clean,a very good value. The staff was very helpful.

The only way to ventilate room 307 with outside air, is through the ac fan. The room has an old smell to it.

I loved the location and nice breakfast spread. The staff was friendly and concierge was informative. I felt welcome even though I have little French skills. It was an excellent value.

The upstairs bathroom in the hostel side leeks water on the floor. I liked the soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower, but would have liked soap near the sink.

Good decor and a modern feel, with friendly staff.

The guest house was generally of a very good standard, clean and had a good modern decor and helpful staff. However, when they realised I was a solo traveller they allocated me a cramped room at the back of the building. I was awoken at 3am and kept awake for over an hour by a van loading outside. I then wished I'd asked for a room change! Such a shame as it is genarerally a nice place to stay.

The room was very comfortable, and perfect for 2 people. We had one of the double rooms with a private bathroom, and it had plenty of space. The location had us in the heart of the Latin Quarter. We easily walked to the Vieux Port and Vieux Montreal areas. The hotel was a two-block walk from the UQAM-Berri metro station, which connects to 3 metro lines, which was very convenient for getting anywhere that was not a quick walk.

Nights in the Latin Quarter are very active. The streets around the hotel were full of people going to and from the bars. The hotel is surrounded by hookah bars, a heavy metal club, a strip club, and tons of bars. Some people would probably enjoy the area, it just wasn't for us. The noise from the street did not carry over into the hotel, it just made some of the walks back to the hotel at night a bit scary.

Breakfast was very basic.

People were really nice and helpful, handing out city maps and giving advice on where to go and what to do. Breakfast was simple but good, the room was equipped with all necessities. The bed was comfortable and fresh towels were provided every day. The location is great, right across from the party center of rue St. Denis and very close to the Metro.

The location is fantastic; close to a variety of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and the Berri-Uqam metro station (the hub station for the entire city). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was excellent. The room was well equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee-maker and television.

No kitchenette in hostel rooms - only fridge and microwave oven, so be careful when booking. The photos that are attached to different room types do not correspond - they are all photos of "hotel rooms". A bathroom you share only with 2 other rooms, but the toilet is also in the bathroom so it can be a bit difficult at times. One croissant for breakfast, if oyu want more, you have to pay, coffee from the machine is nice, tea + toast + jam + butter + juice. That´s all what you get for breakfast. Staff very friendly, you can use the kitchen which has alos a dishwasher - another plus. Good for budget travllers, location really near to all city attractions and tube.

Great location close to bars, restaurants and metro stop and an easy walk into the Old Town and main sites.

The room was very basic, smelled quite strongly of disinfectant and the fridge was quite noisy so we had to unplug it during the night.

the staff are helpful. loction is great,close to metro,and many restaurants and bars nearby. even though there were only cereal and bread, the bread is fresh made. delicious.

Hotel carino,zona ottima, quartiere universitario (zona più viva della città) pieno di locali ristoranti fino a tarda sera.L'hotel è comunque tranquillo e silenzioso.La nostra camera era un mini monolocale con angolo cottura, frigo e bagno, piccola ma funzionale,adatto per soggiorni di passaggio. Colazione discreta e staff disponibile ed attento.
