Near a variety of interesting attractions and nestled on the corner of Quebec's only 2 pedestrian streets, this hotel offers comfortable guest rooms and a delicious on-site restaurant. Auberge Place d'Armes is just moments from the Holy Trinity and Notre-Dame cathedrals. The Promenade of Chateau Frontenac, great shopping and nice restaurants are within walking distance. The Quartier Petit Champlain and the Civilization Museum are also nearby. The guest rooms at the Place d'Armes offer comforts like goose-down comforters and free wireless internet access. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Le Pain Béni restaurant. The restaurant serves fine cuisine created with local products in a traditional, but contemporary style. We loved the location! Short walk from everything in downtown, including Carnaval, restaurants, lower city, etc. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. They provided us with lots of helpful information and recommendations. We enjoyed our room, which had a great view of the Chateau Frontenac. Updated bathroom with a heated floor was a plus in winter. The steps into the building are a bit dangerous in winter. We're two young able-bodied people and we felt a bit precarious because the steps were not totally cleared from the snow/slush. I could imagine elderly individuals might have difficulty with that in winter. The included breakfast was just okay. It's nice that you get a selection for the meal, but we didn't find the food impressive at all.

Exceeded our expectations, can't wait to return. The mattress was the best we had on our vacation. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. There is public parking within two blocks of the hotel at a reasonable rate. The location is central to all the places of interest, shops and restaurants. Their restaurant is one of the best in the area.

Everything. My kind of Auberge. Friendly personel and yet very classy without being snobish. Nothing, but I was glad to having been told there was no elevator.

This is our second stay in the Hotel and we like it a lot . Small , but very cozy and warm feel to it . The stuff is very friendly and helpful . The location is great , walking is easy to every key location in the city and the Winter Festival Side . My only complaint with the place is that we were on the third Floor and there is no elevator .

The hotel is a lovely place, well decorated and well presented. It's located on the main square in Old Quebec, in the pedestrianised area (so it's nice and quiet at night). It has a lovely boutiquey feel and it's quirky design made us smile and feel comfortable. This was the only hotel on our trip that read our boking properly and provided a baby cot for us, so top marks there, too! We would recommend this hotel as it's a lovely place, but probably only for couples unless you can confirm a bigger room suitable for kids too. The hotel falls down a little with some of those aspects that make it fun quirky. The location is great, except there's nowhere to park your car, not even for loading / unloading. The car parks are a few streets away meaning a bit of a haul with your luggage, or you have to pay to park temporarily on the street, then move your car later. The rooms are really funky, but too small. With the baby travel cot in our "Superior" room, there was no room for our 2 suitcases. We had to re-organise the room to just have space for our luggage, not good. For the size and given it's lack of parking, I'd say this was a little over priced.

The location of this hotel, directly opposite Chateau Frontenac and the ramparts, is spectacular. The included breakfasts are also very good...you can choose anything from the a la carte menu. Staff are helpful. We had the attic room, and I wouldn't choose this option again. The room was up three flight of steep and narrow stairs which were difficult to negotiate with a suitcase (though to be fair, the staff did offer to assist us). The room was very small and with the slope of the roof, my husband had to bend over to reach his side of the bed.

The hotel is ideally situated in Old Quebec. Park the car and spend days just walking to the various sites and venues. The hotel is well maintained and those fixtures that should be modern are... Lights, internet and bath. The restaurant is very good, but a bit pricey, but, overall, well worth the food, wine and ambiance. The staff is very cordial and accomodating. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quebec City.

The location was convenient for visiting Quebec - that made it functional. The rooms were appointed in good taste and very comfortable - that made it agreeable. But above all, the staff went out of their way to make one feel at home and to go the extra mile - that made it really memorable. I would be hard pressed to find much to say here, great value for the price - but Anglophone tourists would be advised to remember that we are in Quebec - consequently the ability to speak French can only add to the enjoyment of your stay and to you complicity with the staff...
