The staff upgraded us to a suite which was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
location,characerful rooms and bathrooms,good breakfast,and helpful,friendly staff.
room small, although in historic buildings this is inevitable.
Very nice in all ways except the missing elevator
No elevator and did not mention it while we booked the room
Adorable room and great food!
It was very well located, right in the heart of old Quebec City. It was better than expected. The room was romantic and was facing the Chateau Frontenac. The complementary breakfast in the hotel restaurant was excellent.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like. Everything excellent.
Great location Friendly staff Restaurant
We arrived early before check in time and there was no adequate public space to wait, other than the restaurant.
Auberge Place d'Armes was a amazing experience or old world charm with avant guard decor. Super location, very friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant. What's not to like!!
Room facing Chateau Frontenac, stone walls, pretty good restaurant, excellent staff from reception (Anne) to car jockey (Anthony)
Location and Old World charm!
Water main broke during our visit.water was unfit to drink and was a brown color. No apology from the staff when we checked out.
I loved it all. It was luxury from start to finish. Highly recommend.
Staff were wonderful, breakfast good and our room was spacious and comfortable. Just a little bit quirky which was nice. Shower was fantastic
Lighting poor and as we were on first floor couldn't keep blinds up. No elevator. Didn't like the bathroom dispensers. Room 1 was excellent otherwise and just one flight of stairs up. Wouldn't suit wheelchair users
The location is wonderful, across from the Chateau with a park in between, on a quiet pedestrian street and close to every part of the old city. Room 3 has a great corner location with view of the Chateau out one window and street artists' work out the other side. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had.
The directions were terrible, almost caused a divorce and we are not even married. The door was locked because the innkeeper wanted to knock off early, we were the last check in I realize but we notified them of this, they finally raised them from a sister property. Then to top off they charged 20$ more then the internet "final quote, NO surprises". the breakfast was exceptional if you like cold food and overcooked eggs and crunchy Bagel, hard Potatoes, coffee had to be begged for. Location was perfect. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our adored French Bulldog, Bubba was welcomed graciously. Cleaning staff took care of our room while we took Bubba out for his morning walk. Valet parking was an added plus and it never took long to get our car. Would happily stay at Auberge Place d'Armes
Breakfast could have been a bit better but for the price we can't complain.
The location, which was perfect. The helpfulness of the staff, especially with luggage and car parking. The comfort and quirky, individual style of the bedrooms.
The lack of a lift. Even though the young man who helped with the luggage was always available and very efficient, the stairs could be problematic for some guests. A larger reception area or lounge would be a good addition to the facilities.
Loved the location on Place D'Armes. Very comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff.
What's not to like? Maybe the price could have been lower!
The location was outstanding, and the staff knew exactly to handle automobile checkin difficulties! In the heart of this magnificent city, we had simple walking access to everything. And upon returning, we had all the comforts of home away from home!
I can not think of one slightly negative about the hotel! Maybe that we didn't extend our time in the city at the hotel!
Friendly helpful staff, excellent position, beautiful room, comfortable bed
Friendly staff, great location.
The plumbing that comes from the rooms above is extremely noisy. They need soundproofing around the pipes in the walls as it woke us up many times.
Room was good size and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The decor was nice
Access for checking in was a little difficult but the staff was eager to help. Shower water pressure sometimes a little scary. Breakfast was okay
small and quaint ; excellent front desk staff and help with luggage as we were on the very top floor with no elevator
difficult to park and unload luggage
Price is a bit high. The breakfast is very good, but you can choose only from the menu. I would like to see the things I can grab myself.
Situated perfectly. Friendly, professional staff. (Attic) room quaint and very comfortable, though we had to climb some steps -- a very minor inconvenience. HIGHLY recommended.
The age of the building, it's location and the charm of our room made our stay a unique one and very enjoyable. The hotel and restaurant staff were very pleasant and most helpful. We would definately stay at the Auberge again and would recommend it to friends and others.
Loved the place, a bit of an issue getting up the outside stairs... steep and narrow... BUT the rest of the place is really European Old World! With a touch of contemporary... the church bells were ringing and the musician down the street was playing his fiddle and singing French folk songs... the only spot to stay in Quebec! Info center has an ATM and the alley next to us was filled with artist and their work! Great historic place in a great New World City. Wonderful staff and wonderful food!
