Friendly staff. Quite willing to speak English to me. Dated hotel. Cleanliness only just passed. Restaurant meals pricey but that seemed to be the case in Montreal generally.

I have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting my daughter and have always enjoyed my stay there. I will return again I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past several years and find it hard to understand why they have not fixed or replaced the hot tub in the indoor pool area.During my last visit I was happy that the gate for the parking was working ,this can be a problem when you are coming and going alot.

Nothing. The beds were terrible ; the pillows haven't been changed since the Olympics in 1976 and the decor of the hotel is tired and run down.

The location was good. Hotel didn't have a restaurant. Heating in the room was acting weird. It was either full on or full off. Also, while I was there, there was an intense noise in the room all through the afternoon like someone was drilling above my room. Staff was also probably on drugs. The guy was talking to me about stuff so random I almost ran away!

Toiletries were nice - good quality No breakfast was provided (restaurant was closed) and there were no nearby places to eat breakfast - 10 minute walk to Coras - as a result, my colleague and I were late for our meeting. Very disappointed - hotel should have provided an alternative. Room was very dark. Towels were tiny and thin.

I loved the location of Hotel Universal and that they offered us a remodeled room. Everything was close by and parking was free. The staff could have been more inviting and friendly; however, they did their job.

Close to where I had business. Easily accessible off main streets. Free Parking, Felt the staff on check-in (M'elanie ) condescending when Iwas asking questions about the hotel services.

We were attending an event close to the Olympic Stadium, so it was an ideal location. Having a fridge in the room was great and the hotel has a sauna and pool. The lobby shop was closed in the middle of the day and there is no convenience store close by walking distance.

I received a complimentary upgrade on my room. It was very modern and stylish. Also, I enjoyed swimming in both the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the sauna. There was also a bike rack where I could lock up my bike. The golf course/driving range and nearby Maissoneuve park made my visit enjoyable. The elevators were a bit slow in coming after I pushed the button. Also, the hot tub spa was not working when I was there.

The hotel was close to La Ronde and the Biodome/Botanical Gardens. The staff made recommendations on locations for various attractions - shopping and restaurants and were very helpful. The room was small, but clean. The hotel doesn't offer air miles or aeroplan points for staying there. This was disappointing. There was a shuttle car that could transport you to the metro and or bus/train locations which we did not know about until well into our stay. Although this was an oversight, it would have cut down on the walking we did to the metro to begin our travels throughout the city.

Close to biodome & Botanical Gardens. Free parking. Easy access to Metro (shuttle provided free of charge). Staff level of support spotty - some very helpful - others, not so much. Limited elevators - long waits. Dated facilities. Noisy cleaning staff in morning. Noisy guests at night.

The location is good, not too far from the downtown. The rrom didnot smell clean. It had an smell of humidity and the carpert look dirty. It's a really bad specially when travilling with children. The rate was good but I would be willing to pay a little more to to get a cleaner room. Additionlay the a tube faucet was not working correctly, it was not possible to close it and the watter stay running more more than 30 min until some one from maintenance fixed it. I just stayed 2 nights but If we had decided to stay more I would have selected another Hotel.

The facilities were good - restaurant, swimming pool, etc. The indoor pool was not monitored. There were more than 10 very rowdy swimmers-I had to leave as I had an 8 year old with me. You need to be more generous with the coffee supplies. One bag of coffee free for 3 people is not enough. We had very few cups also.
