So much to like about this B&B! Thanks to directions by host, we had no problem locating the house. Hosts Al and Mary Pat makes an effort to remember every guest's name! Very personable couple who loves taking care of their guests. Great attention to details, fabulous room, fantastic breakfast and a group of llama and alpacas to delight you. Bonus. Walking trail behind the house and nice open view in front. Super!

    Can't ask for more!

We spent two nights here, on our way to (and from) Cape Breton. The entire experience was just what we wanted. Comfortable and charming room, excellent care from the Connors, and a great breakfast. After our first night, we couldn't wait to come back for the second.

Wi-Fi was slow, which made uploading pictures from our trip kind of frustrating, but that's minor.

We had a wonderful stay. The couple who run the B&B could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was excellent - lots of space and very comfortable. The breakfasts were terrific. We could not have been happier.

    There was nothing to criticize.

The owners made you feel right at home and were concerned about making sure you were happy and comfortable.

    Location. Too far from activity

This was perhaps the nicest place we stayed on a vacation (actually honeymoon!) filled with great venues! Al and Mary Pat just welcomed us warmly, and we spent the evening with them and the other guests like we were old friends...they even served us wine! The room was cushy and impeccable, the bathroom had more than the usual amenities, breakfast was marvelous. & then we got the bill, which turned out to be the second least expensive of the trip! What a treat! I would recommend Azelia Farmhouse to anyone, and would return in a heartbeat!

There was absolutely NOTHING we did not like!

Friendly, hospitable staff. We arrived late Sunday evening, having driven from Halifax airport, and they were kind enough to make us a sandwich. I would definitely recommend this B&B, excellent value.

The hosts were so kind and thoughtful. They were accommodating about my gluten free needs. They showed us around the farm and we got to feed the alpacas. It wasn't farm from town but also in a nice quiet spot--the best of both worlds. There was a great pub downtown that they recommended that had great local food and a Celtic band. Close to Cape Breton Island. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Al and Mary Connors are really nice people. The house is in a really pleasant área, and worth the slight difficulty we had in finding it.

    Nothing to say.

Mary Pat and Al are the most gracious hosts. They run a first class B&B where they treat their guests like royalty. I loved everything from the moment I arrived. The breakfasts are delicious and the hospitality second to none.

    Absolutely nothing.

Azelia B&B was a surprising treat. The hosts are wonderful, the rooms immaculate. Every detail is thought out (THREE different styles of robes in the closet, for different seasons; heat lamp in the ceiling outside the shower; bowls of individually wrapped dark chocolate squares in each room; a chilled water bottle for you to take with you when you leave for your day; and on and on ...). The breakfasts are decadent, generous, and delicious. Al and Mary Pat made me feel like I was a very special guest. This is the homestead where Al grew up. They have renovated every inch with great attention to detail and filled it with beautiful antiques (many of which are original to the house) and luxurious bedding and towels.

I found the king sized bed in the suite a little too soft for me - it's feather topped and very luxurious. I slept on the single bed the next two nights (in the suite's sitting room) which was perfect.

The welcome was uncomparable! This couple is so wonderful, so hospitable! Don't take advantage of them as they just can't say "no" to anything! The breakfast was the best we've ever had, and on top of that...an excellent choice without gluten.

The road getting there was a bit of an inconvenience (the last 1-2 km), as unpaved, but still worth the visit as the couple, with their alpacas will leave you with the fondest of memories.

Host and hostess were the most welcoming and helpful we have ever encountered, and we have stayed in a lot of B & B's. Made a huge effort to accommodate difficult dietary needs. A stay that we will always remember fondly. The farm house was in a beautiful setting to add to the whole experience.

    nothing.
