Quality, comfort and care, an interesting historical building,
Friendly owner, good breakfast. We stayed on the third floor and the elevator was a nice plus. I would stay there again.
The staff and bed were lovely! Sunk into bed and I don't think I moved all night. There are trains going by at night, but I honestly hear them at all.
The room on the 3rd floor was hot - even in Nov. We could have opened the window, just chose not to.
Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Much cozier than a chain hotel - a hybrid between a bed and breakfast (breakfast not included in price but reasonable) and a hotel.
big room size, very big bed
Beautiful b&b with everything you need. And if you need something more there s Jeff! He made us the best omelettes weve ever had! Even linen smelled like an orchid garden. Great! Try the bay bistro nearby. Great fine dining!
Welcomed as individuals. Multi choice breakfast - the best of our holiday. Described as a hotel but has all the best qualities of a B&B
Cleanliness a little below par for example a line of dust under the bed but that's because it's run by a man and didn't detract from our stay
Excellent room. Breakfast very good.
We were late arriving and Jeff was very friendly and helpful. He made our check-in comfortable and made it suit our needs. We were on motorcycles and felt very welcome. Great job! We also love the decor and the cleanliness.
We loved the relaxed friendliness of the owner, Jeff. The room was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Nice breakfast in a cozy dining room.
I liked the cozy welcoming atmosphere, having a private bathroom, a good breakfast and a host who was helpful and knowledgable about the area.
Didn't like all the rain which has nothing to do with the facility,
Overall comfort was excellent. Jeff was the perfect host with his keen attention to detail, nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly return.
The rooms were simple. Facilities were minimal. Close to town. Could walk everywhere from this location. The owner was pleasant.
The Inn is located beneath a train track bridge. First night of 4 a train went through 7 times between midnight and 3 am. Did not sleep. No phones, no pen, no paper, no electrical plugs (historic home with 2 plugs per room behind heavy furniture). We had a little room beside the antique elevator. When people used it, it shook our room as badly as the trains did. Breakfast would have been nice had it not ended by 9 every morning. So if we wanted to try the service we would have to set alarms to wake us as we were up for 4 nights due to trains. So we did not get a chance to try it. This is basically a bed and breakfast with a higher price tag. You let yourself in and out without anyone present for the most part. No explanation that if you are the last one in at night that you should lock the door. The Wi-Fi was horrible. Dropped you every few minutes. Could not do any work
The inn has a very welcoming feeling, we were well looked after and the recommendation for a dinner out was fabulous! We would definitely stay again!
Nearby train could be a bit disruptive for sleeping.
Excellent bed, accommodating staff, proximity to harbor.
Rairoad trestle looms overhead, and trains pass endlessly through the night. Breakfast not included , so this is a B rather than a B and B. Old hotel, overpriced.
Location is close to the water and restaurants, very private feeling, gorgeous rooms, overall just a wonderful experience..,wish we stayed longer!!
great breakfast, great room. charm all about
the WiFi was a bit weak back in my room, but fine in the lobby.
Located next to train trestle.
Very nice smal hotel, lovingly room, excellent breakfast with handmade marmalade.
Loved our room # 104- ultra large & comfortable king bed, plush linens, fireplace, very romantic. Jeff was informed and helpful re: restaurants and sites in the area. The exterior appearance attractive and historic, everything was very clean.
Very nice room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast with good homemade food choices. Friendly host, carried our bags, had organized resource book of local restaurants.
Frequency and number of trains passing by during the night. It would be nice if breakfast could be extended another half hour or so.
Good breakfast. Host helpful in advising on local restaurants to visit.
Excelent place, small hotel, you really enjoy your breakfast!
Warm, friendly, comfortable. A cross between a small hotel and a B&B. We would stay again and again.
