Score from 312 reviews Wonderful
Proximity - very central
Carrying luggage up two flights of narrow stairs. Breakfast is crowded and minimal. Room facilities are also minimal.
Location was great and continental breakfast was convenient.
The room I was given was advertised as a double. There was a double bed in the room, but not much else - no chair, no closet, no place to hang clothes (just some hooks on the wall), no place to put a suitcase except on the floor on the old dirty carpet. With tax, the room cost about $150 a night - extremely overpriced!
Location, quaintness, cleanliness, not a bad breakfast. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Wifi only available downstairs
Rooms are small and uncomfortable. Breakfast is very poor-only apples and croissants.
Very nice place. Close to the most important touristic places in Old Quebec City. The staff are very friendly and helpfull.
I loved the location- quiet, close to boardwalk etc. Friendly, was able to access the room before check in. Parking
the creaky bed - I had to stuff a pillow in the head board to stop the squeak.
Great location. staff were friendly and helpful
Not clean, poor breakfast,
Quite Good location
Small room Small bathroom Small tv Too simple breakfast
The internet is slow and limited to the dinner room, so if you want it in your room, it is not available Breakfast too late (8:00 am)
Not much other than the location
Our room was hot, dark, depressing and uncomfortable. It was at the back of the building with windows at ground level and our view was of the wheels of the cars parked outside - not pretty. There seemed to be no way to control the temperature other than with the provided table fan. There was no closet. Wifi was available only in the lobby and breakfast area and was not reliable. For what we were paying , we were expecting a much higher standard of facilities, service and decor. Our stay was a disappointing experience.
well restored heritage hotel
guests above our room had early departures both mornings (7-8am) = lots of bumping and walking back and forth.
The location was the best. Walking distance to everywhere
Rooms very small. 12'' TV. no phone. The last day was not a drop of hot water.
Location! Receptionists. Croissants for breakfast. Variety of fruit.
Cramped area for breakfast. The kitchen is so small - that's unbelievable. It's so poorly stocked, one broken scratched pan without a cover and two small pots. No kitchen tools. If you don't come for breakfast right at 8am, the chances are you won't get any breakfast.
Location. Stuff. Breakfast is ok.
Very very small rooms. Long stairs for rooms on second floor. No internet for rooms in second floor.
The location is perfect.
The room is too small, and no elevator.
Location, location, location. Loved hearing the horses trot by.
Our room was a bit tiny but had everything in it you need.
Location was awesome!
Too many stairs up to our room and air conditioner didn't work.
There was a fridge in the room. It was quiet.
The beds were quite hard.
Tiny bathroom with a dangerous step to the toilet. poor ventilation in the room. Couldn't open the window.
The young man who checked us in was most friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, and the cost is reasonable. It's like a quaint European hotel on the American continent.
I wish parking didn't cost. After all, I had already paid nicely for a room. But since I was already there, I was "trapped" and had to pay the $21 for the night of parking. Parking should be gratis, in my opinion.
A bustling city with a variety of interesting activities! Will hopefully return in a few years. The staff was terrific and very helpful!
The only small complaint is that the beds were a bit too firm.
Excellent location! Within walking distance to everything! Makes up for all the hotel's shorfalls.
Room was very small but sufficient enough for sleeping. Mattress was comfortable but very thin and noisy! If coffee, toast, an apple/orange is enough for your breakfast then what's included will do. If not, count on having to eat out for breakfast too. No parking on site, must go to nearby public parking spots. Paid $44.00 for two nights. All manageable if you are not too picky.
Ideal location right in the heart of old Quebec City.
Rooms a little small and no refrigerator (really the hotel is a B&B by another name). Parking quite expensive, which reduces the VFM impact.
