beautiful location, amazing hosts, fresh, local food, slept really well, would really like to go back
A little far outside of Golden to be listed as "in Golden" - 22k :)
Beautiful location. Close to Wapta Falls. Friendly staff. Breakfast cooked to your preferences.
Breakfast a little pricey but ideal because you're so isolated! Long forestry road to get there but if you are expecting this its not too bad.
un poco caro para la relación calidad precio
- Beautiful Location & Scenery - Helpful Staff - Value for money
- Basic Washroom Facilities - $15 Breakfast - Not necessarily a problem but be aware gravel forestry road will make car very dusty.
Sights are astonishing. People is so neat and funny. In the middle of nowhere. No rush in this place.
Amazing views great spot and so secluded. Wonderful walks, waterfalls and lakes all near by and with no one around! Staying in a cabin is amazing and a step up from camping but not much more expensive. Friendly and helpful staff nice food
perfect in Everyway.
Very friendly we were accommodated in a room instead of the wagons due to building work taking place adjacent
Somewhat behind in maintenance (of bathrooms in particular)
The seclusion and hospitality. We stayed while they were closed for construction but they were still incredibly welcoming.
Nothing. Given the chance we would return often.
Great staff Awesome location Fresh bread for breakfast Fantastic views from front porch
Rustic vs. Dilapidated (there is a difference) Very thin walls None-compliance with quiet hours (guitar & bad singing 'til midnight)
Good breakfast. Enthusiastic host. You get the feel of being on a camping (which is also the case) and this means that the facilities are simple if you sleep in a wagon (at a very low price) as we did. The view on the mountains is magnificent in the evening sun.
The toilets for the wagons were shared and had warm and cold running water, but were basic.
the wilderness, the beauty and the location
the shared bathrooms lacked toilet paper and were not "pleasant"
The setting was stunning, as was the proximity to an easy walk to the "other" side of Wapta falls. The owners were knowledgeable and friendly, the staff young and pleasant but not exactly proactive. The beds are wonderfully cozy.
Everything about this lodge is fantastic. There are a number of different options to suit your budget from camping to private lodge. The manager and his family welcome you like you are family and have a passion for their place that I've never seen anywhere. The location is perhaps its greatest feature. Remote and off grid and eco friendly. The food is all homemade from daily fresh bread, homemade granola (amazing!) and delicious dinners made by a health-conscious basque mountain runner and all-round nice guy. wake up each day to mountain views, horses and a husky. If you like wildlife, wilderness and the outdoor life, I cannot recommend Beaver Foot lodge highly enough. There is a peace and tranquility there that you can't put a price on.
I thought long and hard about this and there is nothing I didn't like. Nothing.
A perfect stay off the grid inmidst of nature with good food and friendly people. Not a five star hotel, but a true lodge - perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
