There is nothing not to like about the BayView!!! We will make this our go-to place when visiting Baddeck!
The ambiance of the room with the antique chairs and four-poster bed and free standing closet with a mirror on the door, There was a lovely rug on the floor and a small fridge in which to keep our wine cool and it was topped with a wine bucket and a small cutting board and knife. This was contrasted against the ultra-modern bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, beautiful shower with gold accents on the railings around the little shelves and gold-framed doors, and beautiful brushed chrome faucets with gold trim. There was a white coat rack in a little nook behind the door with two bathrobes to use, nice touch. The staff was very friendly and informative. There were free movies available to use, which was great. Breakfast was served in a very elegant dining room with a white brick fireplace and the mantel was draped with artificial fern and mini lights. A large artificial tree stood next to it draped with more lights and a couple of tall candle sticks tastefully placed on the hearth and there was a very large wreath sitting atop the piano. The five tables (for the five rooms available) were tastefully adorned with a gold-patterned cloth and white linen topper plus matching gold cloth napkins. The utensils were silver and gold and even the glass plates had a gold pattern etched underneath. The chairs were very large and thickly upholstered with a beautiful fabric. There was a large window over looking the bay, hence the name Bay View. A table was situated by this window and there was a wooden box with a wide selection of flavoured teas for you to choose. For breakfast we chose the vegetable omelet which was served with strawberries and bananas and a slice of watermelon on the side and toast. We also had a large glass of fresh orange juice and endless cups of great coffee.
