Booked with a credit card and still had to leave a damage deposit. The hotel knew it was our wedding day and didn't even leave a ice bucket, as we had requested.
Excellent staff ,Very clean , good breakfast
White Spot next door
BW points denied because it was booked through booking.com
Good friendly staff at breakfast Visually appealing outside Off main road, thus little traffic noise
Was travelling with trailer (12ft)...No parking for that until late at night when restaurant closes. Parking lot made for cars only. Stalls small and only one entrance/exit. Was not aware would be put in room in pet friendly hall (show/smell that way) Would not call it PLUS.
friendly staff, free breakfast, free movie rentals, great location which was close to everything and very clean overall.
Noise from other room with children at 11 pm.
Bed comfort Quiet
Very strong medicinal smell in lobby and halls
Walking distance from my wedding location. Comfortable beds, lots of towels.
Room was close to breakfast room, so a little noisy. Poor wifi; kept cutting out, very frustrating.
the staff, the cleanliness and all around good hotel
-lots of amenities in and around this location ; great place to stay, staff were great.
breakfast staff pool
Gm of this facility have refused returnig $200 security deposit due to the lingering cigarete smoke smell over the washroom area. He did admit that there is a complaint of people smoking pot and other people smoking. We have advised him that the room was not smoked in, but he asked us to leave the property or he'll call police. I have never, ever experianced anything like this and have stayed all over Europe and North & South America. This was hands down the worst customer service, and awful treatment of people that have just spent 2000 in your town. I have to say that I am not proud of the way I behaived when he told us to leave the property but on the other hand what the heck can u expect if sombody advises you "too bad too sad" u r not geting $200 back because he can smell smoke (which most likely travelled through the ventilation system)....on top of that except of dealing with the situation at hand he the manager and some old guy named Barry escalated the situation. I am going to write the letter to the head office and due to the fact that I am one of the managers at one of the oil companies I have already asked our head office in Houston to remove the Best Western from our corporate list of the hotels, as well I will not approve expanses for any of my employees that stay at the same property. At this point they can keep $200 and we'll see howuch will cost them in the long run due to the offul customer service I have experianced.....Ana
I liked the proximity to Vancouver while still not having to stay inside the madness, yet close to the meridian border crossing for a day trip to the USA; The breakfasts were very very good and the area cleaned wonderfully, the overall look and feel of the place was top notch. The front desk staff were helpful as well. In short, it's a really good hotel.
The concrete hard beds. I've slept in a sleeping bag on ground that was softer. Now some people really like a hard bed, and for you, you won't have an issue. But mine came straight from the foundry, and I like at least a little give. My other complaint is the A/C; the cycle is very loud when compared to its fan, so if you're used to a quiet room for sleep, it will jar you awake until you get used to it.
We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the microwave and mini kitchen. I am a light sleeper and use ear plugs, but the road noise was minimal.
The front desk staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
Construction (new) noise which is underway next door
Everything - rooms very nice, breakfast excellent, nice pool
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were pleasant and clean.
The wi-fi in our room was weak and intermittent. It was farther from Vancouver (where we spent all of our time) than we realized, but this was not the hotel's fault.
close to the highway and supermarket friendly staff helpfull food in white spot was good Breakfast was good
The odour from the dogs gave the room a musty smell single guests be assigned the second floor there were no non-slip mats in tub shower. there be other teas in room
perfect location very clean
bathrooms very small
When I arrived earlier than expected the front staff were super at keeping my luggage so I didn't have to haul it around & extended my leaving time as I requested as plane wasn't scheduled to depart for 5 or 6 hrs later I checked out 2 hrs after normal time & I greatly appreciated it!! Thank u again!!
Nothing that I can think of!!
the bed was comfortable.
i booked my accomadation three months in advance and was immediately charged the full amount for my accomadation cost on my card which was non refundable. i have used booking.com before and was never charged for my accomadation until i had arrived at my destination. this was an huge inconvenience. then upon arriving to best western, i was informed the second party, in which i had already book for was going to be charged additional $10 per day. after that issue was cleared up we were told we could check in early, the first room had no kitchenette (which i had paid extra for), the second room was full of cigarette smoke. we were told no rooms were available with kitchenette so we had to leave and return. apon returning the second time we were given a room, that wasn't quite as i had requested when booking this accomadation, it was next to the road so the window at night couldn't be opened due to the constant noise, but it did have a kitchenette, thou it was missing a toaster and kettle. when we asked for these items, it was abit of a hassle but they were given to us in the end. breakfast was okay. more fresh fruit was needed and they need more hot dishs of different variety and need to serve bacon.
The awesome warm pool and the amazing breakfast....and the very helpful staff.
loved the pool area and breakfast.
construction outside awoke everyone at 6am...
This was a text book three star operation from a major chain. Everything was in good working order, the staff treated us as welcomed and wanted guests, it was spotlessly clean throughout, the beds and seats were very comfortable and it was a very attractive two-storey building.
The only thing i would have to mention is i travelled with an other adult,a 10 and 13year old an an infant.i booked one room since i brought a travel bed for my baby.when we came to check in,iwas told we couldnt have more than 4 people to a room.in the end they did let us all stay in one room..but it was quite thr hassle.does thus mean in the future me and my husband have to stay in separate rooms since we are a family of 5?!?
