The hotel looked a bit run down.
Central location, roomy suite. Not noisy. Comfortable. Friendly staff.
Expensive parking. Bedding not changed often enough.
Nice and clean and close to town!
we loved the location, right downtown Whistler village. Staff was great and helpful.
the pull-out coach is horrible to sleep on. Old and very uncomfortable.
Near the bike park, grocery, the coffee near it was the best.
beds are bit old. I can feel the spring in my ribs
in the centre, close to everything, free wifi
Location of hotel. Called room service re TV and Reggie MOST helpful!
Check in person had poor English..barely able to hear or understand her directives. Our room VERY dark...needed more lights.
The price of parking
Too noisy and loud when trying to sleep
Free earplugs available at the front desk. You will need them!
Although the room may accommodate a small family this place is in no way "Family Friendly" This hotel is a hang out for young adults who like to bring the outdoor village atmosphere into the hallways and continue the partying in their rooms. We were woken up on a regular basis between 11 p.m. all the way to 2:30 a.m. The hotel staff's attitude was pretty lax and all they said was you are in whistler staying in the village.I simply replied it's not the village atmosphere "outside" that is disturbing our sleep. It's the disrespectful youths carrying on "inside" the hotel. One staff member claims they have nightly patrols and the next day another member says they only have one person at the desk at night that cannot come to investigate. So which is it? You think you are getting a good deal with the price and location but it is not worth it unless you are a young adult going to party. The rooms are outdated and dirty, Beds are not very comfy and the air conditioning minimal. Ours looked like it had been beaten with a sledgehammer. After reading several reviews about cleanliness we decided to avoid the pool. It was not suitable for young children anyway. Gordon Ramsay's famous Araxi Restauraunt is right outside and while building it he should have been filming Hotel Hell here at the Blackcomb Lodge. A definite miss for anybody with small children or looking to get a good night sleep. Otherwise, party on folks and have a good time. We definitely won't be coming back.
Rooms were spacious, and clean
Air-conditioning not working, starting to show its age
Loft arrangement(but , better if the aircon can cool the loft area ,too)four beds, location
Old kitchen, small room for 2beds in the living room, better to be a bit spacious since living room and kitchen are combined, not too cold on the loft
Right in middle of village, but still quiet
Room a bit dark Not remotely cheap
Nothing waste of my money . Staff was very cold not
Every thing staff was very cold place was very dirty and dusty blankets were torn and when we told them they didnt change just through the blankets at us and ran away oven and microwave were broken and the staff said too bad we cannt do anything until tommrow . Pot and pans and toster were very dirty . No body picked up the garbage until u beg for it . Beds were very unconfortable over all i would say very very bad
Value for money.
Very noisy at night as it is located in the centre of walking area. Not recommend if you need quiet place to sleep.
We stayed in a loft suite and it was very comfortable for our family of 5. There was a well equipt kitchenette. Location was wonderful for exploring the village
The air conditioner did not work well and with temp at 30+ it was needed. We had to leave the windows open but there is a bar with outdoor patio located directly below and across the walkway that kept us up until very late. The pool and hot tub are also tiny .
Great location. Comfortable beds.
Condescending staff who entered the room while we were in it. The balcony was rickety and we were scared to stand on it or allow the kids on it at all.
Room not exactly ready by 4 pm: no shampoo, only 1 cup for a room booked for 2. Coffee machine with broken lid, hot water just run outside instead of into pot. Air conditioning noisy and not providing stable temperature.
Coffee...and the view. Location . Bike rentals ( downstairs ) Guys doing housekeeping .
Pillows ,mattress . Stinky carpet ( dirty feet smell ). No chair on deck .
Walked at back door and you were in the Whistler village
Just had a bad experience the last night with roudy other guests But the lodge took after it and gave us a refund
Great location Convienent bike storage Nice having kitchen in room
Car was towed while unloading after 15 min where we were told to by the concierge and then was unhelpful, unapologetic, and rude regarding the mistake.
Location is excellent. Easy access to food and recreation.
House keeping was terrible. They didn't clean the room once in our weeks stay. Bed sheets were pulled up on some beds but never made. Floor was getting filthy after a week of guys in the outdoors. They didn't replace soap or shampoo. Air conditioning didn't work at all and is way undersized for a room with a loft. The first night was about 80degrees f. I slept in my van. The rest of the days were cloudy so it cooled down a bit.
With the exception of the location, very little.
I am absolutely upset by Bookings.com false advertising. Initially, the price came out to $454.00, the I receive my confirmation which comes out to 396.22. I had thought that would be more reasonable for a small studio. The I receive my Visa statement with an additional $162.42. Turns out that the $396.22 was only for the first night. I had calculated max @226 per night but not $280 per night. We could have stayed in a five star hotel for that price. The staff at times was friendly and at other times lukewarm. That is OK as long as I am not tricked by false advertisement. It would be better to disclose the full price including all service fees and taxes directly and not confusing us with all types of different prices. Very disappointed.
The Facility and service
The location of the lodge and convenience of parking.
