Uncomfortable bed. No power for hair dryer or curling iron. Had to plug into a power bar between the beds. Furnace looked like it had been taken out of an old mobile home. Badly needs a remodel.
We liked the price and the location... And the wifi worked pretty good. Not much else to say....
So we're not usually picky when it comes to hotels as long as they're clean and no bugs. And a room being dated also doesn't usually bother us. However this hotel is in desperate need of updating. The carpet that's in there is grimy and the whole room slanted. The sheets were clean but there was what looked like a burn hole in the bottom sheet. No bugs to report but the room could have been cleaned better. I'm sure this was a great motel back in 1972.... But for 2014 I would give it a fail.
Beds are not good; after 2 nights I am having severe back pain. Washroom pipes were leaking.
easy to find
Proximity to highway Easy to find Price
Not much in the way of amenities Old
Close to Waterton Park, next to very good bistro. Roomy with two beds
Think 1950 decor trying to catch up with 2014 competition. Cleaner than some cheaper motel chains but definitely a 'B' grade. Bathroom crowded, although clean and serviceable. Shower quite capable of administrati g 3rd degree burns.
we really like the friendliness and accommodating of staff, Really appreciate the kindness they shown, Thanks
The room had sufficient space and the bed was comfortable. The lamps were high and bright enough to making reading a book comfortable. There was a/c. It was in a handy location to access Waterton.
The bathroom was quite small with limited counter space. The system for getting the shower on was a bit tricky. The deadbolt lock wouldn't work (rm 21) so the only lock was the handle.
I liked the many little touches supplied by the staff - the selection of coffee and tea, the little packets of toiletries. Even though the facilities were older and not as modern as the larger chains, it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked and worked well.
The décor was a little older, but that was a small thing.
Clean, reasonable value for the money
Needs serious updating
Dated, but very clean and the owners were very helpful.
Easy Access to the high way. Beautiful drive to Waterton Park.
I was towing a trailer and wanted to drop it overnight, the staff was very helpful in finding a space where I could do this. Although the motel is older, everything inside was very clean.
There was every convenience we needed in the room: micro wave, coffee machine (& coffee), fridge, tv, bedside lamps, phone & alarm clock. The bedding was very clean which put my mind at ease and the bathroom was also clean and supplied with shampoo/conditioner, soap bars and extra t paper. The rooms are older but they have updated some things.
There was a 3 foot stain on the rug as you were going into the bathroom that was frankly disturbing... it looked like someone had been murdered in the room. There was also a funky smell in the room but opening the window helped clear it out, I suspect it was also from the carpet. My suggesting would be to rip out the carpet and put linoleum in the room it would be perfect then. :) The bath tub tap was also dripping which if not fixed might result in further problems for the owner but had no impact on the room condition of the room itself.
service of the staff
some old room, facilities, staff is very good. The room price is cheap.
smell is not good in room
Not much to look at from outside. Older motel style. Deceiving.
Everything . . . though the place is a bit old but still you will feel you are secure in the area . . . If ever we come back we will still choose this place . . .
Cool room, awesome bed, the lady who runs it is sweet, if you want a cheap motel that's actually nice in Pincher Creek, get involved!
Staff are excellent, pleasant and very accommodating.
Motel is very old and run down, needs major work and new everything.
Great staff! And location was awesome :)
budget price; warm room, accomodating staff, convenient parking
oldfashioned furniture and appointments
The rustic feel... Cute an quaint. The location was within walking distance to convenience store and eatery
Bed no so comfortable... Too much bleach in linen. Very noisy strange sounds from old heating pipes and it could hear trucks zooming by late at night.
Clean, easy of access
I smell gas which comes from a gas station next door.
