Impeccable, clean. Amazing wi-fi. Probably would work best for a group of friends.
It's a bit strange to walk into a suburban house and go to your room. Location requires a car.
All amenities were clean.
Walls are paper thin, extremely easy to hear any conversation happening in the house, as such there is no sense of privacy. The room we we're given was called a queen room, which was actually two single beds put together resulting in an uncomfortable seam through the middle.
Close to where we needed to travel.
The room was way too small. The bathroom was not the cleanest. On line they didn't say we were not going to be greeted at the door. I didn't have a chance to go back on my e-mail before I left so we didn't have the pass code, thank goodness I printed the actual confirmation which had a phone number or we would not know how to get into the home. Need to explain that alittle to people.
Very clean and modern
Frigid air conditioning and no way to turn it off. The shower was challenging to use, I ended up using it hand held. Out in the middle of nowhere, with a new, modern and sterile atmosphere. No one made the bed during my entire stay. I never met a staff member in person.
Taking off shoes at the door No TV in bedroom....only common area Requested hours of quiet limit your personal leisure activites Other guests were nice but it is awkward to relax when having to share restroom, kitchen and family room areas
very attentive staff well organized informative and prompt response from staff felt like home very clean and orderly respectful of privacy well equipped kitchen very modern and new decorations and furniture quiet surrounding, residential area easy access to main roads minutes from universities and shops and restaurants ample parking space easy to find the residence daily cleaning of shared washroom eliminated any horror stories to share facilities with others. I would not let the points for improvement prevent me to stay here again.
These are not points that I don't like but areas that need improvement or just something that happened outside of management's control. other visitors were hanging out in the kitchen past midnight. They were audible with our door closed and it was disruptive to our rest as I am out of the house by 7:30am for work and so it is difficult for those who are traveling for work and others for leisure. I felt awkward to need to regulate that on my own with strangers. This was the one most uncomfortable aspect as I did not stay in a common residence at the university for this basic point. our king size bed was two single beds pulled together and the crack between the mattresses was uncomfortable for a couple. A mattress joining tool would have fixed that issue. wifi internet connection was almost unavailable in our basement room. It was very accessible and quick on the main floor but in our room is impossible to even send emails or do the minimal tasks. However, due to my stay was business, not being able to do work may have provided for more restful evenings.
I liked the "at home" feel of the home. It was great meeting people from many parts of the world. The 3 staff whom I met were pleasant and helpful.
Parking is not great!
The guest jouse is situated close to big shopping area. However as always in Canada or the US you better have a car. The decoration and furnitures are in a modern style and everything is available to let you do yourmeals.
The air conditionning was so strong that i was freezing in my bed during the night. Hopefully additional covers were available. The walls doors and ground are so thin that you can hear everything from your neighboors.
Location was perfect! So close to so many things. Very clean and orderly. Excellent communication and staff.
No tv in the room was odd, and no tub. Bed was comfortable but super creaky and loud frame. Great place for long term stays- for a couple nights - way too pricey for my liking-
We enjoyed the homey atmosphere and the ability to make our own meals, do our laundry and the closeness of the local markets.
The upper rooms on the third level where we stayed we're very warm, even at night with or without the windows open. The AC was on at all times but it didn't haven't any effect on the upper rooms.
Six group of people living in one house.
The ability to cook for ourselves, store food and use the laundry.
The parking was a concern- we never got boxed in because sometimes we parked on the road. We tried to communicate with other guests about who had to leave earliest. No big problem.
I liked that it was like a home away from home.
I didn't like that the ad made it seem like you were renting a house then find out after booking it is all shared space (even the bathrooms). Also couldn't connect to the wi-fi and no TV in bedroom.
This place is a house with rented rooms, not a bed & breakfast. It is not perfect, but the house is large, clean, nice, and brand new. You can freely use the living room and kitchen, so you really feel at home there. If, like me, you're from overseas and enjoy the north american way of life, then you'll have an amazing time.
