The location was very convenient. The price was pretty good for new years. The entire building smelled like cigarette smoke. I visited 2 different rooms and both reeked. The smell got into everything we brought. The bedding was not clean and there was even a blood stain on one sheet. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours clearly.

Location - wifi - cleanness of the room. Friendly and helpfull staff. There was no question when I checked in at around 11:00am and they also allowed me a late check out at 1:00pm . No elevators, Steep stairs to the second floor with my large suitcase and 2 small carry-ons was not easy. The room door lock for "room 20" need to be repaired or replaced. I didn't like the bathroom, the sink was small, the heat is close to your face when you are on the toilet. Was not the toilet that you love to be in. You can get a similar hotel for less money.

Great location and cleanliness. The staff are genuinely concern listen to your concerns. Also very helpful in answering questions on bus line and metro line. The area is safe. Hotel has free wifi. Also hair dryer and comforter/blanket are available. The hotel seems falling apart: Doors are flimpsy, furnitures look like they were picked up from thrift store (the two red arm chairs in the lobby are extremely worn out!). The floor has a slope that you can fall if you don't hang on to the wall when waking up in the morning. Room next door smoked and the whole floor has smell yet the staff was not aware until we complained the next day. They did check and try to warn that customer. Still smelled the cigarette smoke again at night.

Excellent location. We were able to walk to Old Montreal and around the downtown area then jump a quick Metro to Biodome. Very comfortable room. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. And those stairs...there's a lot of them. Be careful if you have any trouble using stairs.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The place was surprisingly clean and smelt like it. Location is great: a 13 minutes walk took us to the Société des arts technologiques (sat) right in the heart of downtown to see a concert. It is nothing luxurious, but then how could one expect that for the price? Breakfast was nothing appealing. The shower is so small and the water pressure high so it was impossible to wash hair without the shampoo being instantly rinsed off (haha!), jets of water into the ears and so on. The toilet did not flush. But at least it was all very clean.

Very close to downtown Montreal. Not too expensive. Bed were comfortable. Night staff were very helpful. Mini fridg! The ac didn't work very well, the morning staff wasn't really professional. No elevator. Location can be scary at night.

Location When we arrived, even though we had reserved parking, we were told there was none, as it was first come first served and it was full. After receiving a parking ticket (for parking on the wrong side of the road, 52 dollars - beware if you are hiring a car) the chap on reception said he would fix us up round the back for free (there should have been a charge) it turns out there was a yard with a metal mesh gate As there was no one else parking there for the rest of our stay, I believe we were lied to, and they just did not want to be troubled opening and locking the gate. The room was quite dull, with no light in the shower area, and overall not very clean. There was a group of teenagers staying on our floor and we had to contend with them swearing and running up and down the corrider at 3am after returning from there night out. Breakfast was poor cereals and toast. Glorified Hostel is the best we can consider it

The breakfast was a bonus. The room was decorated nicely and cleaned up daily. The air con was quiet and at a good temperature. The location was great, it was possible to walk to all the attractions. Overall, very good value for money for Canada. The corridors smelt a little of cigarette smoke.

Location was right off of Ste. Catherine downtown. In a rundown neighbourhood, was kind of sketchy to stay with your girlfriend or a family. Would only recommend to single travellers who don't mind some of the more liberal nightlife activities that go on in downtown montreal. Let's just say some of those 'activities' probably take place in this hotel late at night.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I only speak English and communication was never a problem. My room was small but perfect for a solo traveler. It was clean and the hotel was in a fantastic location. It was great to have a refrigerator in the room and access to appliances such as microwave and toaster in the common area. Overall I was very happy with my stay. The lighting in the room was dim and the bed comforter could have been newer.

Good location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Poor condition. My room had a slope of about 20 degrees. Ac was on constantly. Neighborhood seems kind of shady (glass from cars that have been broken into line the side walks). Rooms are tiny, this wasn't really conveyed by the photos on the site. Could be a little cleaner. My room was not cleaned during my two night stay. Lights had bad wiring. Refrigerator made so much noise I had to unplug it. Tv remote did not work.

Friendly staff, good location near centre and a tube to get you about all of Montreal. The bathroom, bedroom and breakfast area are small, but serve the purose well. Breakfast is very basic. There is free parking outside the hotel, but its a bit dodgy with break ins being a regular occurence, we used a secure parking basement garage 10 metres down the street which charged $11 per day. Overall we had a pleasent stay, thanks

The staff was the most helpful group of people I have ever had the joy of meeting. Staying here felt like being at a B&B or even like staying with good friends. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a solo traveller.

Best location. Only one block away from metro and it is next to the bus station. Parking garage is across the street and charge CAD$9/24 hours, which is not expensive and it is a safe place to park, compare to the street parking. Free breakfast is very basic with bread, coffee and orange juice. Stuff are friendly and helpful. Fast free wifi. I booked two rooms. One room was fine. It was facing the back of the hotel; therefore, it was quiet. The room was basic, small but clean. The shower room was tiny. Good place to stay if you’re not picky, only need a place to sleep, hot shower and with limited budget. However, the other room had bed bugs. We found the bed bugs at the second night 1am but the hotel was fully booked. The stuff did his best to find us another hotel to stay during that night. He gave us another room at the following day when there was room available. We are really appreciate for his help. Also, this room was facing the street and people stayed at the front of the hotel even during mid-night; therefore, we can hear all the noise from the street. Super thin wall so we can hear what people were talking in next room. No elevator so don’t bring any heavy luggage. If you are willing to pay about 40% more, there is Comfort Hotel & Suites across the street. Otherwise, you need a bit of luck to have a nice room.

The best reasons to choose this hotel are obviously its location and price. It's just a couple of minutes from central Metro station of Berri/UQAM, so you walk, literally, a couple of minutes and have access to three subway lines. Also, the central bus station is on a parallel street, so if you arrive late at night from the airport, like I did, you'll appreciate getting to your room in just five minutes after stepping down from the bus. In general, it's a place you'll rate in terms of value-for-money. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. There is a couple of unfair criticism in some reviews, that don't take into account what you are paying for. There's nothing wrong with the breakfast, for instance. Bread, butter, strawberry jam, cheese, orange juice, cereal, milk, coffee, and tea, a toaster and a microwave oven are not good enough for you? Then go out and pay for better or just choose a more expensive hotel. On the other hand, cleanliness can be improved. I found some hairs here and there and the sheets had cigarette burns. They should check the sheets when a customer leaves, charge him for the damage and replace them. I would also appreciate a small desk instead of the big chest of drawers (the drawers on the bedside table were enough). Finally, I didn't like the fact that the A/C was centralized. I don't like cold in the room just because it's hot outside. If you like it, good for you, but I prefer it just slightly fresh or turned off. If it's central you can't please everyone.

Wonderful accommodations for the price we paid. Big bed, comfortable bathroom and friendly service. Location is convenient (near bus terminal and the metro) and they provided free day time luggage storage. Complimentary breakfast was modest, but available. We would highly recommend this hotel! There was no elevator :(

the staff were really kind and good tempered. the room was clean. با اینکه اتاق ها بسیار کوچک هستند ولی در جهت قبله ساخته شدند بنابراین می شه توشون نماز خوند. ولی دستشویی دقیقا رو به قبله است و باید مواظب بود. I thought that each one of the rooms has a microwave, but there is only one microwave in the ground floor. For the lunch I had to go down the stairs to make my food warm. the room was really clean but too small.
