Nice hotel

Very poor lighting specially the bathroom and dressing area. My wife complained about applying her makeup in the dark

check in took way to long. There was a long line up and we waited for 40 minutes. Way, way to long

The staff were very professional and engaging, even when there were problems they handled it promptly and courteously.

The bed was hard, so hard my son who does not have back problems , had a sore back after one night. Parking issues based on Christmas party bookings that they over booked leaving hotel patrons fighting for parking.

Very friendly & courtious staff. We were given upgraded room with balcony. Room was spotless.

When we booked our reservation, our daughter and her family who were there for a hockey tournament suggested we ask for a quiet room far from the noise of the teams. We requested a quiet room far from anything that would make noise (at the risk of sounding like a grinch!) and with a view. We got exactly that and we greatly appreciated it. Lovely view and total peace and quiet. Thank you!

A minor hitch that would have made our stay flawless. The online rate quoted for parking was $10.00 per day. On site, the reservations clerk said parking was $11.95 even after I mentioned we had been quoted $10.00 No attempt was made to check to see if there was an online offer for $10. Had there been and he could not have found it, I would have let it go as it is really only $1.95. Although I could have let it pass, it seemed like a good teaching moment so I took from my purse, the print out of our reservation that said $10.00 and I gave it to him. As your hotel is wonderful and trying to be perfect perhaps, you could make online information available to your staff. Otherwise your rating will have to stay at 99.9% which is not so bad.

Beautiful spot - We found it through booking.com - and chose this hotel because of its proximity to where our family lives - and because we recieved a discounted rate on the room through the website (-35%). Found the hotel to be beautiful, the room was lovely, the view was fantastic and the staff were great. Checking in and out were very efficient processes. If we can get the same type of room for the same rate again - we will definitely be staying a Brookstreet whenever we visit Ottawa.

Service at breakfast was not very good (very long) despite the fact that it wasn't crowded. The food when it came was good.

The room was lovely. Very comfortable space. Common areas have great style and feel welcoming. Our 2 night was too short. Greatest regret was having no time this visit to enjoy any spa services.

Don't order the steak sandwich in the lounge!

High end, high quality eveyrthing .. every square inch was spotless and well appointed with quality decor. My wife deserved , beccause she was confined to quaters nursing me post a knee replacement,my searching for an above average accommoddation close to our Kanata duaghter & young family. She loved it all including the fitness centre and she has high standards. THe hot tub seemed to be good for my recovering knee.and I had a steak sanwhich that was amazing And hang on to that staff door greeter, desk , fitness centre and lunch lounge wait staff, THey could not have been better. Thanks for a very pleasnat stay.I hope that we get back! Gord Leach.....
