I stayed at The Steigenberger Metropolitan Hotel in Frankfurk on an international trip and I though it was the most comfortable, and excellent overall. However, after my husband and I spent a one-night gate-away for his birthday celebration at the Brookstreet Hotel I have definitely changed my mind - I truly believe that Brookstreet Hotel is a germ at the heart of Kanata! Has uniquely elegant interior design with exceptional quality and selection of amenities to make your short or long stay even more comfortable and memorable! Even better, staff are professional, and they make you feel warmly welcome. Couldn't have made a better choice of place to celebrate my husband's birthday. Thanks for the great experience!

When I arrived they couldn't find my reservation even though I had confirmed earlier in the day my late arrive. I waited about 30 minutes until I could check in.

It was very quiet

Did not have the reservations at the desk.. it too almost 45 minutes to sort things out

I absolutely loved the beds, sheets and pillows. They were the most comfortable of all the hotels my fiancee and I have ever stayed in.

There was nothing I didnt like about my stay at the Brookstreet.

The rooms were very comfortable.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff were all very friendly. It is a $25 cab ride each way to scotiabank place.

$11.95 for parking and lack of an ice machine close to my room...or any room.

It provided a luxurious setting to stay the night of Barbra Streisand's concert. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and capped off a 24 hour period of "seeing how the other half live", so to speak.

I believe the website states that it's only 5 minutes from Scotiabank Place when, in fact, it's quite a bit further.

The hotel itself is quite stunning and I have been to the spa many times in the past and every experience and service I have had was fantastic. The room, the beds and the decorating were really upscale boutique. The dining is also top notch as is the setting.

This past weekend I drove from Toronto to the hotel with my older daughter to spend the weekend at the hotel because it was her birthday and I have raved about the hotel since it was opened but had never stayed overight. We were really looking forward to spending our Saturday by the pool and getting some sun and much to our disappointment the pool was closed earlier in the morning due to some debris that had fallen from the roof the previous evening. There is no alternative other then the indoor pool which defeated the whole purpose of our visit because you still could not sit outdoors and get some sun. I was unsatisfied with what the Hotel was willing to offer with regards to some sort of compensation for this and they were only willing to take the parking charges off the bill. Had I known that the pool was going to be closed I would not have stayed at the hotel and would have sought accomodations elsewhere.

The overall experience was excellent.

Very nice hotel, close to the Scotia Bank arena 20 bucks by cab to watch the nhl game. Apparently the nhl teams and broadcasters stay here, met a few which was nice. My major complaint is there are no restaurants in the hotel which offer a normal menu for everyday folks unless you like oxtail and other stuff at outrageous prices. Otherwise id stay there again. Oh and you have to order ice to your room so expect to pay for it with a tip.

Staff not smiling, we got a smoking room but were never asked for anything...who smoke these days!?! Parking not included...we're in Ottawa, not New-york!!!

The proximaty to related activities. Scotia Bank Place. The luxury and the staff.

Had booked three rooms and only one was ready by check-in. Had to wait about one hour for the second room and over one and a half hour to get the last room. Online booking did not mention parking was additional! All prices should be laid out up front.

Absolutely incredible place. My husband and I went to Ottawa to watch my first nhl game. Brookstreet Hotel has the most beautiful design and decor. Who ever the decorator was , thumbs up to that person. Great job. What a sexy place. The staff were super friendly. The lounge area was great. We went to the lounge after the game for a couple of drinks and it was great. Loved the atmosphere. The rooms were incredible, beds were extremely comfortable. Completely exceeded our expectations. Did not want to leave! The best part, we got to see some nhl players which we weren't aware that they stay there. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thanks to everyone there.

Le tout etait vraiment exellent je le conseil a tous le personnel l hotel le resto la piscine le gym vraiment un 5 étoiles

Nice view from the 15th floor, very comfortable bed. Location near many high-tech firms is good for technical/business people. Nicely functioning LG TV. Effective temperature control in the room - thermostat easy to figure out and operate.

The room safe was defective - service personnel handled it quickly, but the problem persisted (i.e. repair was not tested and the safe failed the first time I tried to lock it). Shower drain was partly clogged so I stood ankle-deep in grey water. One would think that if the maids clean the shower, they would notice it does not drain well and unclog it. These are not great issues, but if I am going to pay premium rates for a room, I expect the room to be free of such annoyances.
