The restaurant menu offerings were excellent and the staff were outstanding. We were quite impressed, even after spending 4 days at the Banff Springs which sets a pretty high standard for customer service. i would definitely return.
We initially booked a standard room which we did not find satisfactory. However the staff upgraded us to a deluxe room which was larger and had more amenities for just a minor upgrade fee. They also moved our luggage over for us. So great recovery guys!
Hot tub was too hot and too cold at some times
Beautiful location, nice restaurant facilities, and great food.
seemed a little understaffed, our room never got done while we were out, and had to call three times to get supplies. Room was chilly, but it was -30 outside.
The fire place
Didn't sleep all night because of the people above walking back and fourth from 1am - 4am and again 7am - 10am. Was as if there was no sound variorum between the floors. Wife was cranky and did not feel like doing anything the next day accept to go home and go to sleep.
When we had issues one staff member was very helpful.
The restaurant was awful staff food everything
The view was to die for!!!
Fireplace, view on Mt. Rundle, decor.
Fireplace Hot tub was just the right temperature - not too hot Large bathroom Quiet (no noise from other guests)
We've stayed here the last 4 or 5 times we've been to Banff and I don't think we'll stay any where else next time either.
Booked on line and there was a special request form to fill out. I had asked for a pillow fort and a rose to be in the room and neither was when we got there.
I love Buffalo mountain Lodge. It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. The deluxe rooms are always so nice to stay in. It puts other hotels to shame.
The hot tub was out of order for the second time. The wifi was terrible I'm afraid to say.
Room 815 you could hear pipes moving all night room would not cool off way to hot but they upgraded me for the next night witch was good hot tub was way to cold for an outdoor tub
Wood burning fireplace, Amazing wood vaulted ceilings, Comfortable beds, friendly staff, great views
room was cold because in-floor heating was not working. Grill on fireplace was bent and would not close.
Loved the cozy wood burning fireplace, wine glasses and candle in room. Very comfy bed and pillows.
Staff did not clearly explain that they automatically added a $100 incidentals charge upon check in. I had to question the amount.
Hot tub, breakfast, laundry are the unexpected benefits. Surprisingly the railway didn't bother us, but turned to be a highlight to the kids.
The wifi worked only in the lobby.
Wifi was fast. There's a fireplace in the room. Hot Tub is nice.
Pubic hair on the bathroom floor. Rooms that looks like apartments from the 60s. TV had 13 channels and a blu ray player. Movie selection is the 5 dollar bin from Walmart. Nearby rooms were loud and obnoxious. Service at the restaurant was slow (understaffed). Everything in our room was very dirty, the health inspector should give this place a visit. Rooms are poorly insulated. Way to much money for such poor service and accommodations.
The setting was lovely-the rooms were very nice and suited the outdoor terrain. Restaurant was great-the morning buffet a great value .
Noise, could hear the train rumbling by and there was partying below us from 4:30 am till 9:30 am -
Out door hot tub and the fireplace in the room was great.
No fridge in the room. A bit far from downtown Banff.
I liked everything. I was so impressed, I can't wait to go back! Absolutely beautiful and relaxing...especially the fireplace.
No fridge in room for coffee, coffee pot was too small -had to brew each cup individually(really cheaping out) we were on our anniversary in October and the hot tub was not working-(we get things break down) no notice was put on the website ! This hot tub was down for days before we got there . Had we known it was down we would have booked elsewhere.apparently it has a bad reputation for being down frequently according to a regular guest that we talked to there. The only reason they keep coming back is because the manager gave them a free night for compensation for no hot tub. We were offered nothing! Nothing! Bottom line is we over paid for lack of good hospitality. Unfortunately we could only offer an accurate review! Perhaps after this review ,we won't be disappointed a second time... Time will tell.
nothing really, except the location!
The staff were all young foreign travellers who couldn't care less, and were not looking to please! Went over thanksgiving, diner was sold out for the evening (we planned on being there and shouldn't they accommodate enough people when they know they are having a full house for thanksgiving!) the outdoor hot tub was broken, the t.v. channels leaved little to be desired, and if you wanted to rent a movie you had to go to the office and pick up a DVD, really! Horrible, no luxury whatsoever, would not even think of going there ever again!
place to stay at. Loved the fire place. Comfortable beds and definitely clean. Staff was friendly and helpful in times of need.
The outdoor hot tub wasn't available as the website suggested. It was quite disappointing.
Premier Suites were not as stacked and close together as the regular suites.
Old falling apart plumbing and the fact that a fridge and microwave are not in every suite.
Beautiful bathroom set-up; Only needed robes.
Bring your own DVD's for inclement weather nites; very limited selection. A small fridge would have been useful.
Great space with privacy and outdoor space. Staff were helpful. Restaurant was excellent in both quality and service. When we decided to change out plans the team were more than accommodating.
There was only one ice machine so there was never any available, always empty. Soda machines always sold out.
