The view, the hosts, the cottage, the beds, the cooking facilities, the proximity to L'Anse aux Meadows. EVERYTHING!!!
Stay wasn't long enough.
Wonderful cabin across from water with a small road between. There are 3 cabins side by side facing the water. We were in the middle cabin which we liked because it had a larger window in the door.Great kitchen, good shower, good bed with a comfortable couch which is also a sofabed. Cabin had a wifi router in it so connection was good . Close to L'Anse au Meadow Historical site and St Anthony. Saw iceberg caught in bay at St Lunaire which was late for the season and magical to see even if only the size of a house! Awesome area even tho we had mist and fog for both days. Fabulous food in restaurant cooked by owner that locals eat at as well. Framed hockey jerseys of the original six NHL teams were a pleasant surprise. One end of the restaurant has two couches set up with a large flat screen for campers if wanted. Grocery store is in the same building beside the restaurant and that is where you check in. Wonderful whalebone sculptor in Raleigh with studio and display. Great stories there.
Windows too small at the front of the cabin. Would love the front windows to have been larger to be able to have had a view from inside no cell service which had nothing to do with the establishment Produce was lacking in the store. St Anthony's has a bigger store but even their produce was tired.
Good sized cabin in quaint community. Welcoming owner.
Cabin lighting needed basic maintenance - several bulbs missing
Location, spacious and clean cabin Exceptional treatment by congenial hosts Superb meals Relaxed atmosphere The highlight of our trip to Newfoundland
We enjoyed everything!
beautiful scenery super friendly owners modern, clean, and comfortable cabins restaurant next to cabins has great food close to L'Anse aux Meadows and St. Anthony's local historical corp. has a fabulous boat tour around Burnt Cape
Friendly, family run establishment, location within town, beautiful wood interior, fantastic kitchen, laundry in cabin, fun nightly campfire for guests to get to know each other.
Getting to the remote area - but perfect if you were going to be in that area anyway.
The overall hospitality, service and location of the Burnt Cape Cabins made our stay memorable. Ted makes a mean meal, jam, & dessert. And let's not forget those fabulous socks that his mother knits up for a great price. We were made to feel very welcome and would stay again if we ever find ourselves in the Northern Peninsula. Thanks..
We found out that the cabin we stayed in - that was attached to another - has paper thin walls. My sister was trying to sleep in the bedroom where the wall would have been attached to the cabin next door. She said the noise was annoying and loud. We would not recommend staying in that cabin set up agin.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and the location was great as we were doing a few day trips around St Anthony.
Quiet and scenic. Staff very friendly and helpful.
friendly staff excellent accommodations excellent food
The owners and staff were very friendly. The food was good and my wife and I absolutely recommend a moose burger for dinner. Home made and fantastic.
The wifi booster whipped out.
Very clean, comfortable room well equipped as a housekeeping facility. We loved the chalet feel in the décor. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
A little ways off the highway but very scenic, and in close proximity to the L'Anse aux Meadows park.
The lobster experience that Ted offers is outstanding. Ted goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable!
There is nothing not to like!
Close to Burnt Cape
For the cabin the fridge and kitchen sink were too small
The location was beautiful. The owners, Ted and Marina, were great!
