Score from 507 reviews Very good
In a historic building in Old Montreal, this hotel facing Saint-Lawrence River is a 7 minute walk from Place d’Armes subway station. It includes spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 393 reviews Wonderful
Great location near all major Metro Stations, St Catherine St, and the bus to the airport. Hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful.
Bed was a little small for us; we are both tall and a larger bed would have been a better fit however the bed we had was comfortable and didn't detract from our stay.
The room was large and extremely clean. The staff friendly and willing to help with a smile. The owner (I believe) was on site to inquire about the comfort of guests.
A bit dark. A more attractive restaurant. Possibly would consider staying in Old Montreal in order to walk to restaurants and other destinations. Cabs are expensive.
Superb location, reasonably priced. Got a room at the back. Quiet!
Worldly wise waitress
No guest laundry, although Best Western confirmed the contrary.
Valet service location
Put us beside the weight room which is open until 10PM, with small children who like to go to bed at 8PM. Of course some fitness nerd decided to work out at 9:30 and you could clearly hear the weights smashing loudly in the room next door. Think about where you put families with small children next time.
Great staff. Especially valet parking crew.
Room carpets a bit worn as is the paint. Needs freshening.
I would like to thank all the staff, particularly Colin, who works overnight i think. He specially made an impression on me. He polite and understanding and handled a bunch of drunk boys very professionally.
Central location, close to metro, very friendly and accommodating staff, late checkout free of charge, free wifi, ironing board and iron in room, air conditioning. on balance, overall a good hotel for a short trip to montreal.
No complimentary water bottles, dated rooms, no safe for valuables, thin walls so noisy especially as had an adjoining room (that we didn't request). Rated 4 star hotel but really probably 3 stars at best.
Within walking distance to explore & view Old Montreal it was absolutely beautiful.
The elevator shaft was right next to our room & we heard it constantly. The fridge was very noisey. Room very small for the money.
central good staff
A permanent, acute noise in the room did not allow us to rest well. The hotel could not help.
The beds were amazing! Comfy, soft linen. Room smells like clean linen as soon as you walk in. Great view of the mountain. Walking disrance from St Catherine's St. Wonderful breakfast place nearby hotel.
The front desk staff were not too friendly.
Hotel location within a short walking distance to the Museum of Fine Arts.
Staff on the front desk were very professional an courteous whilst at the same time as being extremely busy. My room was very comfortable and in a good state of decoration. I would definitely stay here again for leisure. I was on the 17th floor and the lifts were quick in comparison to some hotels in Montreal I've stayed in.
The guest room doors seemed to slam a lot and could benefit from being sprung. But this was a minor irritation.
Clean and comfortable room. Restaurant was good and café great. Staff go above and beyond especially concierge Mike. Good location.
The Hotel is welcoming from its lobby , its staff, and the lovely room we were allocated to. The bed, especially, was sooooo comfortable.
Parking in the area is so expensive, and we made a mistake not taking the opportunity for valet parking at $25.00. Ended up paying double for a parking garage down the street.
The room exceeded my expectations. Very spacious, very clean, with the most comfortable beds and pillows I've had in along time. location was very central within walking distance to everything.
Parking was expensive. would have been better value if parking was included with price or if there was complimentary breakfast.
Proximity to McGill.
Needs paint job and general refreshing. Smells stale. No self-park option - valet only at $25/day.
The location was great. I had family visiting from Italy for the first time seeing Montreal. All within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
The daily parking fee was somewhat expensive. You could hear the traffic noise from the room on the 5th floor.
The room was very nice with a large LED, 2 Queens and a large bathroom. The Valet/Bellman was very nice and helpful. On the day of departure we still wanted to shop and were able to leave our bags at the hotel in storage, for free and pay an additional fee of $15 to remain parked. It's 2 blocks from St.Catherine so its not as busy where the hotel is, but a short walk to the action. Two Starbucks and a Second Cup within two blocks of the hotel :) oohh and a great bakery on Peel just before St. Catherine...location location location
I am a light sleeper and the traffic was fairly loud in the morning...not a big deal for business travellers. That is something one expects when staying in any downtown hotel...not a biggie. Not really anything that stood out to me as a negative. I guess a microwave to go along with the refrigerator would've been nice...but then I am reaching.
Excellent location, next to McGill University, blocks away from the arts district and not far from shops and restaurants in the heart of downtown. Staff were especially friendly and helpful
Facilities need a bit of upgrading
Location is good.
Noisy guests slamming doors and yelling in the halls for almost an hour between 430 and 530 am. No sign of any hotel security as I lay awake contemplating whether to call and complain... Should I have to at $250 a night? Can somebody not invent a hotel door that doesn't slam? Room carpet dark coloured but looks like it could use a good shampoo but hotels like to use dark colours to mask what lurks. I travel a lot and this Best Western was disappointing. Had potential but an indifferent staff and overworked valets mean I will look elsewhere next time in Montreal.
The room, bed and cleanliness were great. Location to downtown eateries awesome. The General Manager, Mr. Zikry, was so personable. Obviously cares about what he does and hires staff who emulate him.
Have to have patience due to off-site parking, but many downtown city hotels have the same issue.
Staff is always very friendly, they remember your name! Breakfast is great in the little cafe.
Location Decor and cleanliness Staff were acommodating
Pricey - a lot of money per night plus parking fees Over priced cafe
