The front desk staff were outstanding and very accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom large and clean Small cosy hotel that met all my needs for a 4 day stay.
Really good breakfasts included. Well-prepared, and different each day. Sauna is a nice touch, on a cold day. Ditto the tea served 3-5PM.
Quiet room on 4th floor overlooking a courtyard. The room was a nice size, clean but somewhat spartan. A good base
Breakfast was iffy.
Perfect, central and quiet location and convenient in-house parking.
I really liked the friendliness and service provided by all the front-desk and support staff. They ensured that all my requests for early check-in, wake up clock, concierge services, tourism and local information were well taken care of by Eugene, Arvind and Angelo. They have a good selection of tea all through the day and afternoon snacks. They also have a small library with books and provide a clean drinking water bottle. The staff is well-versed in English and French and gave good recommendations about local life and attractions.
My room did not have a good view. Also, they had the same menu for breakfast everyday which was not appealing. It's a good hotel but I felt it was a little pricey.
Very convenient location, friendly staff, clean and secure facility, very good breakfast. Room pricing is a solid value for that location.
Rooms are modest and starting to show their age; on the weekend the patrons of the bars and restaurants nearby can be loud as they make their way home.

The location is perfect. It is within walking distance to Parliament, bywords area, Rideau shopping center, US Embassy, many restaurants and supermarkets and etc. Hotel manager is very friendly, helpful and understanding.
Excellent location, stands out from impersonal huge hotels with awesome staff and nice paintings. We got a balcony view for a few more bucks. Breakfast included is a plus.
The bed was ok for one night. But if it had been a one week vacation, I would have asked for another room with a mattress that you don't sink into.
Location. service and staff
Location is great. Access to market without a lot of noise. Rooms are fine, though smallish. Furnishings are Ikea-type basics, but are new and adequate and confortable. Parking on site in basement is limited. Covered public parking next door a better choice, lower daily rate. Breakfast standard fare but meets the need.
Wifi worked poorly while we were there. We were told techies were working on it, but still didn't work properly.
This is my second visit to the Byward Blue, because I really like it. It small but that keeps it quiet and personal. It's close to the market which is a nice place to pick up dinner and take it back to your room for a nice intimate evening.
I really like the complimentary breakfast but it doesn't need to get too exotic. Careful with the spicier options such as bean breakfast burritos. Bring back some good old bran muffins and stick to the healthy but hearty basics.
Can't beat the location, great value for money, great hot breakfast and very helpful staff.
It would have been nice to have some comfortable seating. Not just 2 beds.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. peace and quiet of neighbourhood. Easy acesss via taxi to centre of town
location, location, location-balcony was a nice touch-loved the art work in throughout.
its a converted condo complex so the room was tiny and dated. They did all of their furniture shopping at IKEA-dishwear too. The breakfast was pathetic...limited choice. Morning OJ was a drink box that was a store brand.
Location was good. Friendly staff. Size of room was good.
Although everything worked and seemed clean, the interior was very 70's
Came across the hotel by accident and was pleasantly surprised. A small, quaint hotel in walking distance to great shopping and restaurants.
I found the bed and pillows not very comfortable. I did request a better pillow for our 2nd night which was much better.
Very helpfull front desk. Great breakfast. Location better than expected.
Parking little tight for Tahoe but managable.
The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly.
Staff was friendly and helpful
Decore, bed, location were great. Tea time everyday from 3-5. Next door to public parking and easy walking distance to main attractions. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Breakfast was not great- needed more eggs, meat especially for those of us who are gluten and dairy restricted. To be fair it seemed understaffed.

The inn is newly refurbished and has a bright, cozy ambience. The rooms are of a moderate size, and comfortable, with a small kitchen, dining table and desk. The balcony is great.
The breakfast selection is quite limited.
