Very little Only minor issue is that rooms are a little small but location & price more than compensates for that.

The location is very convenient; the room was large, the bedding and towels were first class; the staff was unusually helpful.

The obsolete window air conditioner was noisy.

Location, staff, had fantastic view of Parliament Hill from our balcony. Appreciated the breakfast and afternoon tea that was included. Would highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation - very French set-up! Good facilities in room and great complimentary breakfast downstairs. Very welcoming and friendly staff with good restaurant recommendations around town! Highly recommended and enjoyable stay.

Basically everything! Small cozy hotel within walking distance of downtown Ottawa and where I had to be for business. Clean, very friendly staff. Simple furnishings but had everything I needed. Lovely breakfast room. I had a balcony suite and had a great view of the city to relax in the sun after my meetings. Liked it a lot. Decent value for money

It is in a great location and there are lots of very good restaurants close by. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There were insufficient tables for breakfast one day and people had to stand until one came available.

The room was bright, clean and spacious, with kitchen facilities. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, as was the maid service. Location was good, close to the downtown and the Byward Market.

A downtown gem, close to many restaurants /bars/shopping etc, and within comfortable walking distance for sightseeing. Indoor parking was ideal for us. Staff were great, and the morning breakfast as good as you would get for free in most hotels.

Can't think of a thing of any consequence...

Value for price. Everything required -- and more -- was in the room. Chocolate-filled mints! And I got an upgrade.

It's nice to know that local businesses are still around to enjoy. There is nothing like staying at a local establishment that is clean, convenient, small-scale. The staff were wonderful; one of the highlights of our trip was talking to them and gaining insight about Ottawa/Canada. You don't get this at a chain hotel. Love the art work, too!

good location

Spacious well appointed room (No 65) with balcony. Hotel is conveniently located in the Byward Market area. Afternoon tea, coffee and biscuits included. Very friendly staff.

Cooked breakfast selection was limited. No mirror in main room.

The location is fabulous...right next to the Byward Market. The staff are more than friendly...Martin was especially very welcoming. It really does feel like coming home. The hotel is very well designed with comfy overstuffed chairs and sofas. The rooms are very comfortable with large windows and are set up with everything a person would need. The original paintings are really special. The balcony is a great touch and the views are great. Very clean.

The chairs in the rooms are not very comfortable for sitting a long time.

Location is perfect

Great location and walking distance to Parliment hill. Cosy atmosphere more similar to B&B (free breakfast and afternoon tea and $10 get breakfast delivered to room and enjoy breakfast on balcony. We'll definitely be back this summer!

If you are challenged by tight parking, you may want to stay down the street at public parking (couple of doors down). I had Escape with no problems but lad with 1/2 ton took about 5 minutes to park. There are only 9 spots and as I said, very tight. This is only a heads up and not reason to miss this great spot.

Hospitality was amazing. A gem in the heart of Ottawa. We didn't have to drive anywhere.
