Hotel Carlingview Toronto Airport  

The staff was just awful apart from the man who checked me in. I had bought a breakfast and I reminded the front desk at the time of my arrival. The man who checked me in, kindly took this down in preparation for next morning. In the morning I came back to the desk. I told the people my room number and that I had ordered the breakfast. The woman at the desk gave me a card to go next door. After standing in line in that other house for some time I realized the card was not enough I did not have any coupon for the breakfast. I had to go back there and ask for it. I was not happy about this and told the staff member, since I had gotten pressed for time at that point. The staff member was rude to me and said that it was not her obligation to know if I had paid for the breakfast or not and if I was getting pressed for time due to this cause, it was my own fault to wake up so late. What is her job anyway? To know what services the customers have bought and give it to them? To cut the story short, I got the coupon in my hands but it was too late, the shuttle was about to arrive and I could not use it. The woman refused to refund me for the breakfast so I did not get what I paid for. I was not happy.

Clean and tidy, has everything a hotel should have. Hot water and tea bag/coffee in lobby to take to your room.

Noisy!!! Air PLANEs fly right on top of the hotel every d**m minutes all the way to 8:00pm and it will get better and stops completely around 23:00pm to midnight, and the frequency will ramp up again early in the morning (about 6:00am) so be prepared with ear plugs. I actually don't know how the others slept there under such giant noise. One of the flight actually shaked my bed slightly! This noise not only is loud but the intensity ramp up quickly and your heart will feel a sudden nerve cramp, which is very uncomfortable with the once per minute repeat rate. (We stated there from 4:00pm to pick up somebody in the airport arriving around 8:00pm, omg that four hours are hard!) Also the breakfast is very poor, only a small cabinet of muffins and some croissants.

Check in was very slow. Front desk was taking calls constantly while trying to check me in.

Convenient to the airport and the long-term parking is a plus Staff was great. When I ran into a booking problem, they quickly solved it for me

Fairly close to the airport and a shuttle was available to take free of charge.

We came in by air and restaurant was closed and we were unaware the cafe next door was open so we went to bed hungry.

shuttle service is excellent...you phone and they come immediately to the terminal. They have a computer and printer in the lobby...excellent for printing boarding passes for next leg of your journey. All-day beverage service and pasteries from 3 - 7 a.m. appreciated.

I booked online and did not realize that leaving the car was not an option, booking this way. It is not until you read the fin print at the bottom when you have already booked that this is not possible. It should be stated right as you book.

At the end of our stay my wife left her pyjamas and they were handed in by the housekeeper and we were able to pick them up when we returned

When we booked our room we were under the impression that we could leave our car in the hotel's secure parking lot for free. Imagine our dismay when we found that we had to pay $50. for the week

Location and parking available while we were away on vacation. Also great restaurant while we were there.

This is our second time to book through a third party and not receive what we were told to expect. Carlingview claims that it is a mistake made by the booking company.
