The only things I liked about the Caravan Inn is that they had a room big enough to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children and that I got a cheap rate. Dirty. The tiny table still had food on it from the previous guest. No service. There was a gap of 6" between the air conditioner and the window ledge. They had covered it with a piece of newspaper and duct tape which had come lose and was flapping freely allowing in flies and a bee. Although the room was for 5 people there were only 3 towels and 3 washcloths (one of which was filthy, refolded and on the rack). My husband went down to the desk and asked for linens and for something to be done about the air conditioner. A short time later a young man came up to the room with two towels and a roll of duct tape which he handed to my husband and walked away. So we fixed the flapping newspaper. As you can imagine, the room never did get cool. And then when we got home we found out we had been double-billed and at the wrong price. We have disputed this with the hotel and they changed the amount of the billing but we are still double-billed. I have just filed a dispute with Visa to try and get the second charge taken off.

I like the location. It was about 5 minutes drive to niagara falls. very convenient.. The room was dirty. the sheet seemed they haven't washed for a long time. They did not have a cleaning crew to clean the room on a daily basis. We ran out of toilet papers and they did not ever care to provide it to us. Other hotel guests sat behind our room from 2 to 6 o'clock in the morning. They were talking out loud, drinking, smoking and laughing. We tried to called the main desk, the phone was disconnect. What if we had an emergency, we could have been kill by those guys and no one would have known. Worse experience ever. I will not suggest anyone to stay there unless if you not comfortable sleeping in your car.

For the price we paid, we didn't expect anything much. The staff was nice and helpful. Price was fair and place was as expected.we just needed a place to sleep in for the first night we get there, since we were not keen on spending the first day in the falls, so in that regard it was good. You get exactly what you see in the pictures, room was spacious, appeared clean, had a fridge (but ..).. Price was good but at the cost of comfort. The walls were thin, we could hear people outside and they sounded too close. Some renovations and better lighting might be a good idea for this place. It had a creepy vibe at night. The bathroom lock didn't work and the window kept making crinkly noises all night which was very distracting. The bed was large but we were just too creeped out by the surrounding to get any proper sleep. The blankets were of mesh like material which did not look clean at all. We pretty much got no sleep at all and ended up sleeping the next day at the Marriott in the middle of the day for 4 hours which definitely put us behind schedule. Also, please change the lights in the room, it is too dim and dark in the bedroom. But I will recommend this place ONLY if it`s your last day at the falls and you are not spending much time inside the hotel. That way, if it becomes too uncomfortable, you can simply leave at your convenience rather than further compromising comfort.

The only things I liked were the price and the swimming pool. It is more thanatos ordinary. We didn't have enough towels, facecloths and we lacked toilet paper ! I'm a single mon and was travelling with 5 kids so the price and 3 double Beds in the room were practical. But there was no room cleaning NOTHiNG but every morning at 8 they clean the pool ? Our room was dirty when we checked in so I really recommand it for extremely low budget and people who can get pass dirty rooms for the whole stay.

The Carvan was a good value and perfectly acceptable. The owners were very nice and attentive. There was no denying it was an old motel and had seen better days, but the room was clean and comfortable. We particularly liked that there was a small fridge and microwave and the sodas in the machine were only a dollar. Families seemed to be enjoying the pool. The wifi did not work which was very difficult for us since we couldn't check travel routes as we had counted on. They did have a wireless system, but it was so old it wouldn't work with our computer.

Hospitality Always, the face of a place especially a hotel or motel is the main office, which smelled like a kitchen not an office. Room was way below expectation, dirty white covers and towels, basically it needs renovation, As of the current situation, I would not recommend this motel to anyone

Tons of flies, slanty beds, stale smoke smell, broken air cond. To bright to sleep at night due to broken white pvc blinds as window coverings no towels etc. If you have children, don't stay here. Everything, we booked and payed for 2 nights but had to go somewhere else (Days Inn) the second night.

Very bad experience. You should check hotel's quality before let them come to your list. Otherwise your network lost credit.

Heartshaped jacuzzi. My fiance and I choose this location because of the heartshaped whirlpool, the outdoor pool and the cost. I have to say, you get what you pay for. The rooms were not entirely clean, we had to ask for towels, and soap (they were not in the room when we got there). They did not automatically do turn down service, this is something you need to ask for, so we did not get clean towels the next day. The mattresses are still covered with their original plastic, which makes for very uncomfortable sleeping. The toilet in our room was propped up on a wooden skiv, and extremely wobbly. We asked for extra pillows, as they provided us with 2 really thin pillows, and they advised us they could help us. There were holes in the wall and around the electrical outlets, as well as peeling paint all over the room. Every time we went to inquire about something, the front desk was not staffed. The pool was green, and unswimmable. Needless to say, we checked out after our first night, and changed hotels, the low non-refundable cost, was not worth that discomfort.

The price was amazing. Never knew you could find a hotel at this price in Niagra so it was refreshing. Its a small little room however cozy at the same time. The tub is very deep and enjoyable. Will definitely be back...just wish it was a little closer to the falls. The bathroom could of been a little more cleaner and prepared with some toilet paper but we enjoyed our experience.

“The room was very clean and provided with a fridge and microwave. The facility is not new but is well kept up and attractive. It was quiet and peaceful-- just what we wanted. Also, the staff was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to give good advice on traveling and in helping us when we misplaced our keys! The price was reasonable and included breakfast.” Mary, Madison, Wi |
